🌴✈️ The Broke Jetsetter’s Vacation Review: Hollywood, Florida! ☀️🌊
Every trip teaches you something new, and this one definitely did! 😎 We stayed at the Lyfe Resort (formerly known as the Hyde Resort—which can be a little confusing at first 🤪), and overall we had an incredible time! Here’s our honest Pros & Cons to help you decide if it’s the right fit for your next vacation! 👇
✅ PROS 💙
🌅 The Views – Absolutely breathtaking! We had stunning views of both the Atlantic Ocean 🌊 and the Intracoastal Waterway. Waking up to those views every morning was worth it alone! 😍
🧺 Washer & Dryer – Having laundry in the condo was a huge plus! It made packing lighter and was perfect for keeping beach clothes fresh.
🏖️ Location, Location, Location! – Only about a 5–8 minute drive to the famous Hollywood Beach Boardwalk! 🎡 There are endless restaurants 🍽️, bars 🍹, ice cream shops 🍦, live music 🎶, shopping 🛍️, and of course the beautiful beach. Plus, the Margaritaville resort adds such a fun atmosphere! 🌴
🍕 Food Highlight – We loved Rocco’s Pizza so much we actually went back just for the garlic knots! 🤤 They were THAT good!
🎸 Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – One of our favorite stops! 🎰✨ The casino is HUGE, there are amazing restaurants, shopping, beautiful fountains, incredible music memorabilia, and even pool day passes available. We even scored a few freebies…and who doesn’t love free stuff?! 😁🎁
🛍️ Aventura Mall – Shopping heaven! Whether you’re looking for luxury brands or good sales, this place has it all. Our favorites were STK Steakhouse (their lunch special was an absolute steal! 🥩🔥) and Tap 42, which had a fantastic rooftop atmosphere and great food & drinks. 🍸🌇
🚗 Luxury Rental Car – We tried a different app to rent a BMW M-Series convertible and it exceeded our expectations! Great prices, easy process, and it made cruising the Florida coast even more fun. ☀️🏎️
💡 Travel Tip: If you’re renting a car, compare parking costs to Uber or Lyft before heading out. Sometimes rideshares are cheaper than paying for parking—and if you’re planning on enjoying a few cocktails 🍹, it’s a safe and stress-free option! 🚘➡️
⚠️ CONS ❤️
🧹 Since this was more of an Airbnb-style condo than a traditional hotel, it was a different experience. Before checking out, we had to clean up after ourselves and make sure all the trash was taken out. Not a huge deal, but something to know ahead of time!
🛒 Don’t overbuy groceries! If you’re staying a week or less, only grab the essentials and maybe a few snacks. Trust us…skip planning big meals! 😂 We bought way more food than we needed because we kept discovering amazing local restaurants and barely cooked anything. Lesson learned! 🍕🌮🍣🍔🍤

This trip was a little different from our usual vacations, but it created so many unforgettable memories. Between the incredible ocean views 🌊, relaxing pool 🏖️, Hollywood Beach Boardwalk 🌴, the Seminole Hard Rock 🎸🎰, amazing restaurants 🍽️, luxury car 🚗, and Aventura Mall 🛍️, we honestly wish we had several more days just to try even more food and explore!
