Last week, Bullitt County Tourism took a stroll through the breathtaking beauty of Arboretum and Research Forest, and wow—Mother Nature did not disappoint. 🌷🌼 From flowering trees to vibrant wildflowers, every trail was bursting with color and life!

🚨 ATTENTION EVENT CANCELLED 🚨
🚨 CANCELLED DUE TO FLOODING 🚨 CHICK DAYS! 🐣 PUBLIC EVENT! SPRING ON THE FARM!

We have unfortunately made the decision to go ahead and cancel chick days! We were looking forward to this amazing event but with the record amount of rain we are experiencing, our county, surrounding area, and state as a whole has been hit hard. The national guard is doing evacuations in Shepherdsville and so many people are experiencing terrible flooding.

We are safe here, but some of our friends are not so lucky and experiencing major devastation from these floods. There could also still be closed roadways making it difficult for vendors and shoppers to attend. The pole barn has took on some mud and water (nothing at all major just to where everything is very messy and wouldn't be nice for this event) and is full of everything we had to move earlier this week during the tornados, after we cleared it out for the event, and that is where this event was going to be held. The barns are in rough shape due to housing all the animals basically 24/7 the past week during this insane amount of rain.

We wanted to give as much time as possible to note the change of this event. We will not be rescheduling. I know this will upset some people but we think it is in the best interest of everyone.

I hope everyone is safe and evacuated. We will be thinking about all of our farm fam affected by these floods. Lookout for your friends and neighbors and stay safe. ❤️

Due to the recent heavy rainfall, our sanitary sewer system is approaching capacity. To help prevent further issues, we are asking all residents to limit water use that drains into the sewer system. Please delay using washing machines, dishwashers, and other appliances that use large amounts of water.
