This Friday, October 16, Colorado Northwestern Community College is bringing the fall fun to Craig!

Join CNCC at the Craig Campus from 4 to 7 PM for their FREE Fall Fest, featuring dinner, live music, a movie, pumpkin patch, carnival games and a haunted house!

And the Halloween fun doesn’t stop there! The CNCC Haunted House will also be open October 17, 23 and 24 from 6 to 10 PM. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a fun evening celebrating the season right here in Moffat County!

This Saturday, October 17, the Wyman Museum is bringing back one of Moffat County’s favorite fall traditions! From 9 AM to 2 PM, bring the whole family out for a day of pumpkin patch fun just five miles east of Craig!

Each child can pick out one FREE pumpkin, plus enjoy free pumpkin painting and scarecrow building. There will also be pumpkin shooting, wagon rides, face painting and plenty of activities for all ages!

Food, treats, photos, kids’ books and clothing will also be available for purchase throughout the event.

Make some fall memories and enjoy a beautiful October day in Colorado’s Great Northwest!

🎉 Soft Opening of the Woodbury Park Pickleball Courts! 🏓
We are beyond excited to open our brand-new pickleball courts for a soft launch starting on Friday, October 9th starting at 7am.

Because this is a soft opening, we are still working on a few final touches to the surrounding amenities. Please mind the construction barricades and only access the courts using the newly opened pathway. Play will be on a first come, first serve basis using a stacked paddle system to establish next up players. Play will also be limited to daylight hours during this soft launch phase. Thank you for your patience and support as we fine-tune everything for the ultimate pickleball player experience!

Plan to grab your paddle, round up your friends, and come be among the first to test out the new courts, feel the energy, and help us kick off this new pickleball specific venue at Woodbury Park!

October is packed in Moffat County! 🍂 There’s so much happening this month that we added an entire extra page of upcoming events to our October Tourism Update. From fall festivals and the Wyman Pumpkin Patch to haunted history, Halloween festivities, local shopping and community celebrations, there’s plenty to get out and enjoy.

This month we’re also heading to Maybell to feature Oasis Bar & Grill as our Business to Visit, exploring Cedar Mountain for our Outdoor Adventure Spotlight, and getting to know Marketing Chairman Emma Attolini in this month’s Board Member Spotlight.

Celebrating 10 Years with Visit Moffat County: Last month marked a special milestone for Visit Moffat County as our Executive Director, Tom Kleinschnitz, celebrated 10 years with the organization!

Tom first joined Visit Moffat County in September 2016 and has spent the past decade working to promote Moffat County, strengthen our local tourism industry, and share what makes this corner of Northwest Colorado so special.

Over the years, Tom has represented Moffat County throughout Colorado and beyond, built relationships across the tourism industry, supported countless local events and initiatives, and remained a dedicated advocate for our community.

Through strategic social media, photography, videography, and authentic storytelling, she’s worked to showcase Moffat County in a fresh, modern way while staying true to the community that makes it special.

Passionate about connecting people with places, Emma believes great destination marketing is about more than beautiful photos. Now that the temperatures are dropping, it’s the perfect time to head for the desert landscapes of Moffat County.

Cooler days, crisp nights and skies like this make fall one of the best times to explore this side of our county. And if stargazing is on your list, Dinosaur National Monument is a certified International Dark Sky Park, making it an incredible place to experience Northwest Colorado after dark.
