**UPDATE**
Out of the office September 12–24: first on a Danube River cruise, then in Munich for Oktoberfest!
You might be thinking, "Marissa, water levels on the Danube have been historically low this year — these cruises have turned into more bus than boat." You'd be right.
I didn't push my dates or cancel. I'm going anyway. Reading about water level disruptions in Facebook groups isn't a place to advise from — I want to see it myself: how this line handles it, how they communicate when plans change, how they make it right when the trip isn't the one you booked. I already know this sailing means ship swaps, different embarkation ports, and updates as we go.
Same advice I'd give a client facing this: stay open, take it in, make the most of it. I'm doing exactly that — and coming back with real answers for anyone wondering if a Danube cruise is still worth booking this year.
Munich is new territory for me too. Oktoberfest has been on my list for a while, dirndl included.
