"Rest in peace to the greatest character actor of our time, Robert Duvall (1931–2026). At 95, the legendary star has left us, but his performances will live forever. While he shone in classics like The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, Duvall himself called his portrayal of Captain Augustus 'Gus' McCrae in Lonesome Dove his greatest role—and it's hard to argue.
