Fernley’s company, Tastes & Tales, offers food tours in Inverness. On the tour, you’ll visit three to four restaurants downtown and sample everything from local specialty coffee to cuisine prepared by a chef who placed in the World Food Championships. The total walking distance is roughly one mile.
"The best time to visit Inverness is during the winter holiday season. “It’s very charming in the fall and winter,” Fernley said. “They do have great decorations, and a lot of family-friendly events. It’s like a Hallmark movie during Christmas. They have tree lightings and all kinds of wonderful parades.”
