With the warmer weather, spend more time out in the bay grazing instead of using the springs as winter sanctuaries — giving us the chance to dive down and really explore the clear water, spring vents, and everything hidden beneath the surface.

📆 Mark your calendars, scallop trips begin July 1st! We provide your mask/snorkle/fins, and then transport you to the warm gulf waters where we’ll assist you in collecting, and then shuck and clean 'em for you! Your scallops will be ready to cook, and there's plenty of local resturaunts who can do so!

Scalloping is fun in the sun for the whole family, all ages are welcome! ☀️

Do manatees disappear in the summer? 🧐

Not exactly! As the water temperatures rise during the warmer months many return to the Gulf and surrounding Florida waterways. But not all, we still have a smaller group that stays right here in Kings Bay year-round because this is their home. 💧

That’s what makes so special — you never know when you’ll spot one of our local gentle giants cruising by the springs.

And yes — we still offer summer snorkeling tours! ☀️ Because there are fewer manatees in the bay this time of year, tours do require a little more patience and searching, but that just makes every encounter even more special. Plus, the warmer weather, variety of and cool spring waters make for an unforgettable experience on the water. 🩶
