What a magical experience to watch the SS United States as she passed by us making her final voyage! We traveled out to 500+ feet of water to see this beauty. She is making her way to the Alabama gulf coast to become an artificial reef. At over 990 feet she's was built in 1950-51. She is the largest ocean liner to be constructed entirely in the US and the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic Ocean in either direction, earning her the highest average speed since her maiden voyage in 1952, a title that remains uncontested.

Helene making her way by us and with fury. All my northern Florida folks, in the armpit area, please stay safe and think about evacuating if you're not able to withstand over 100mph winds.
