Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique that gives new life to worn garments by cutting them into narrow strips and weaving them into vibrant, textured fabric. In this class, students will learn how to prepare old clothing for weaving, set up a frame loom, and create a one-of-a-kind woven piece using repurposed materials.

Perfect for beginners and fiber enthusiasts alike, this workshop combines history, creativity, and eco-conscious making.

It is HOT!! Check on your friends, family, and neighbors. Help them prevent heat illness. Act fast if you notice someone with symptoms. Anyone can develop heat illness, but senior citizens have a greater risk. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF YOU ARE COMING TO THE EVENT ON FRIDAY -

Address for the event is 107 3rd Ave NW, Cullman. This is the building located behind the main bank building. There will be NO PARKING in the main bank building parking lot as the bank will be open for business.

Render Aid Alabama is hosting the third annual Elder Abuse Awareness event on Friday, June 13th from 10am-12pm. Please come out to see the vendors, listen to informative speakers, have a chance to win a door prize and receive a free barbecue lunch! All full time senior centers and our office will be closed to support this great event. We hope to see you there!
