First Hand Academy

First Hand Academy We organize summer archaeology internship programs abroad for high school students and adults.

There are many volunteer opportunities for 18 year-olds, but far fewer for 16 and 17 year-olds looking for a meaningful summer internship to experience and write about in their college application essays. In our first year, many parents said they wished they could go instead of the high schooler. So this year we said "Why not?" One group will be high schoolers and the other will be adults.
