Earth Day is a perfect reminder to take in the beauty that surrounds us in Allegany County, the Mountain Side of Maryland. Our nearly 70,000 acres of public land give us breath-taking views and plenty of opportunities to hike, bike, camp, paddle, and play in the great outdoors.

But with our recreation comes our responsibility to take care of the places we’ve come to love so much. This Earth Day, we encourage you to gather a group of family and friends and visit a public space to create your own impact.
