Today Deepika Chalke joined the less than 1% of population that has completed an ultramarathon! We ran a total of 31 miles in 9:39:18, from Lake Fontana to the top of Clingmans Dome tower and back, flying on our last few miles down the trail (fastest mile was #28 @ 8:46! Congratulations to Deepika for crushing it today!

Trail run/hike to Chattahoochee headwaters this morning! Turned out to be a perfect day on the trails, unexpectedly warmer than planned for so Deepika Chalke and I were a bit hot. We had a great time enjoying this rugged section and managed a 5hr half marathon with 3300 ft of gain. Last photo I’m attempting to swing on the vines.
