Adventure #4 was a success. The RV drove perfectly and handled the dirt road into the Withlacoochee River Park with no issues. This was the first time that we stayed 3 nights consecutively and no one threatened to kill the other one. The park is a state park located just outside of Dade City and was very nice and peaceful. Cost was only $25/night, so you couldn't hardly beat that. Luckily we had some friends go with us in their trailer that had been there before and could show us the short cuts into the place and easilly find our assigned spot.
There was a lot of friendly competition between the men and women while we played "pass the pigs" and "hand-n-foot". The girls were almost unbeatable at pass the pigs, but the guys were able to save face by pulling out a come from behind victory in hand-n-foot.
There were a number of trails to walk so Becky and I ventured to the observation tower and checked out the surroundings. It was a nice walk and lots of people on the trails with their families because of the great Florida weather.
There was a small chapel located in the RV section of the park and Cindy offered to let us renew our vows, but we decided to better leave well enough alone.
More friends came on Sunday and we had a great cookout. Everyone pitched in and the food was great. For dessert, we had some of the best apple pie that i'd ever tasted. We'll have to get the secret reciepe from Dan someday. If this is how you eat when glamping, then we need to do a lot more glamping.
So overall, it was a great trip and ready to venture longer and further. Hopefully we'll continue to get to travel with friends and meet more along the way.
