Accessibility matters! ♿️

we just had a guest reach out to us who had recently booked an accessible cabin in a nearby town. When they arrived, it turns out that the cabin wasn’t accessible and didn’t meet their needs.

what a disappointment to arrive on a much-needed vacation only to find out that you are able to stay. They reached out to us and we are super excited to host them this upcoming week.

If you are a host that has an accessible cabin, kudos! It turns out that there aren’t that many around! One thing we have found helpful is to post a lot of photos and lots of descriptions about what makes your cabin accessible. People with disabilities have a wide variety of needs- not every wheelchair user has the same needs. The more details you can provide your guests, the more comfortable they will feel booking with you.

we firmly believe that everyone should experience the joy of travel. Unfortunately, those with disabilities have added stresses to booking a trip. It’s a vulnerable thing to spend time in someone else’s space.
