took out Daniel and Liam today and we all got into a amazing pocket of gold. Daniel went home today with this small nugget that he claims he never would have found unless he brought his good luck charm which is his son Liam. both did a amazing job, especially since this was their first time panning. congrats to the both of you!

so a friend and I decided to try out a spot I have been meaning to go to for awhile now and well we found really great gold including this small nugget. we each walked out of there with at least 2 pickers and some big flakes. if you would like to try your luck at this location you can go to digging it in dahlonega on Facebook to message me directly. so over the winter I have acquired a new location that would be perfect for sniping and possibly metel detecting small gold. I have started to test pan and investigate the long creek and there is also big gravel bars as well. there is gold here, so if you want to come out and help me tackle this long creek go to digging it in dahlonega on Facebook.

13.1 grams is the total for the year so far. don't think I will be going out much more before the year is up. had .2 more last year but definitely had more pickers and small nuggets than last. what a amazing year and so many people went home with great gold of their own. next year we will crush this total, so come out with us and find some shiny goodness

so winter is coming up quick and during that time I like to find good gold ore to crush and pan out, just like the old timers did. tommy Wright and I went into one of the old mines and found some great ore. I think it's going to be a good winter if this ore pans out as good as it looks

gem creek has been good to me and lots of others this year. you can find rubies, rhodalite garnets, sapphires and a few other rare minerals. we have also been finding great gold all in the same creek. it's a great place to learn how to pan and a great place to bring the family, every shovel you have the chance to find something special. the year is not over yet so book a tour now before that brisk weather gets here.

so I went down to picker canyon after the storm and it washed out the gravel down to bare bedrock leaving pockets of gravel in the deep crevices. tried doing a few pans and each pan was loaded with gold. took a friend down there yesterday and she found 4 pickers. it's going to be some great digging in the future. come on out and book a tour with us by going to digging it in dahlonega on Facebook
