🌙✨ There’s something pretty magical about being in Walt Disney World after dark…and Disney After Hours might be one of my favorite ways to experience it.

Disney After Hours is returning in 2027 at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and if you’re planning a Disney trip next year, it’s definitely something I’d consider when building out your park plans.

Here’s what you can expect:

⏰ Shorter waits for some of Disney’s most popular attractions
🍿 Unlimited popcorn, Mickey ice cream bars, Mickey ice cream sandwiches and bottled beverages
🌙 Extra time in the park after regular park hours
🎟️ Limited-capacity event (which means smaller crowds!)

25 years ago, our country changed forever. I was in 7th grade and remember driving with my mom to school when I heard the radio report of a plane hitting the first tower. When the second plane hit, our teachers brought us into the church sanctuary and we watched the news on the big screen. I saw both towers fall in real time; it was more than I could comprehend at that age.

Nine months later, I took my first flight—to none other than New York City. I couldn’t stop thinking about those who’d lost their lives on a plane ride just a few months prior. Seeing the tributes to the lost at the WTC site moved me deeply; I still can’t think about it without crying.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Day 2 on the Disney Wish 🚢✨

Since this was such a short sailing, we decided to skip Nassau and spend the day enjoying everything the Wish had to offer…and there was more than enough to keep us busy!

We tackled the IncrediCourse, met princesses at the Royal Gathering, squeezed in some pool time, enjoyed dinner at Worlds of Marvel, and watched the Little Mermaid Broadway-style show.

Then we ended the night with one of our favorite cruise traditions: Pirate Night. 🏴‍☠️ Music, dancing, and fireworks right over the pool deck made for the perfect ending to a full day “at sea.” ❤️

Somehow, in my head, it’s still 2021. 😭

My son is just 8 months old, taking in the magic of Walt Disney World for the very first time.

But in reality, it’s 2026, and he’s about to start kindergarten.

They say you never take the same child to Disney twice, and I can attest that it’s true.

The baby who was content to just soak it all in becomes the big kid racing toward the next adventure. Before you know it, they’re starting school and feeling so much bigger than they did yesterday.

The magic grows with them and shows up each time in new and special ways. 💛

That’s why I always tell families: don’t wait for the “perfect” age. Every stage is worth remembering, because you’ll never get this version of your child back. ✨🏰🤍

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to explore this beautiful park before its Grand Opening next week! As both a travel planner and a mom, it was so much fun experiencing it through the eyes of families while also looking at all the little details that can make or break a vacation.

Answering some of your most-asked questions 👇

✨ What age is Universal Kids Resort best for?

This is probably my most-asked question, and honestly, I don’t think it’s about age as much as it is about your child.

If your kids still love playgrounds, splash pads, smaller rides, interactive experiences, meeting characters, and imaginative play, this park is absolutely for them. Even if they enjoy thrill rides, there are a handful of attractions that add a little excitement, they’re just designed to be approachable instead of extreme like you’ll find at Universal Orlando or Six Flags.

✨ Is it a one-day park?

I think most families can absolutely enjoy it in one day, but if you’re a local (or within driving distance), I actually think it’s the perfect weekend getaway or staycation!

✨ Any tips before we go?

💦 Pack a change of clothes…you will get wet!
☀️ Take advantage of the shaded play areas and indoor shows during the hottest part of the day.🐾 Slow down. Some of my favorite moments happened while exploring the immersive lands instead of racing to the next ride.

🦖 Jurassic Park Adventure Camp…Crustaceous Coaster was a blast!
🥾 Shrek’s Swamp for all the interactive play
🧽 Bikini Bottom for the rides and splash areas
🍽️ Puss in Boots’ Del Mar for the food and atmosphere

Overall, I left so impressed. It’s a completely different experience than a traditional theme park, and I think that’s exactly what makes it so special.
