What an amazing 7 nights on the Romantic Danube! 🚢❤️

From Vilshofen and Passau to a day trip to Český Krumlov, Melk Abbey, cruising through the beautiful Wachau Valley, Dürnstein, Bratislava, and Vienna, we packed so much into one week.

Unusually low water levels meant our itinerary had to be adjusted along the way, but AmaWaterways did an amazing job making changes while still giving us a wonderful experience. And we definitely had an amazing time!

Beautiful places, great food, lots of laughs, and even better memories with a wonderful group of friends. This is why I love river cruising!

🚢 Embarkation Day

On our way from Prague to the ship, we stopped in beautiful Regensburg and Vilshofen before boarding the AmaReina.

Once onboard, we kicked things off with an Oktoberfest celebration complete with music, beer, and plenty of fun. 🍺🥨 Such a great way to start our week on the Danube with an amazing group of friends!

This is one of the things I love about river cruising. The experiences start before the ship even sails!

🇨🇿 Day 2 in Prague

We explored the incredible Prague Castle complex, from the breathtaking St. Vitus Cathedral to the Old Royal Palace and St. George’s Basilica. Every corner is filled with history and stunning architecture.

We wrapped up the day at U Fleků, Prague’s oldest brewery, where they’ve been brewing their famous dark lager since 1499. Great food, live music, and a fun atmosphere made it the perfect way to end the day.

It’s experiences like these that remind me why I love helping people discover Europe. Every destination has its own story to tell.

Day 1 in Prague ✔️

Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock, and Old Town…what an incredible first day! Exploring one of Europe’s most beautiful cities is even better when you get to share it with friends.

I can’t wait to share more as we continue our journey before boarding our Romantic Danube cruise!
