New around here? Hi!

My name is Samantha Frederick - Holdcraft, and I’m a luxury travel advisor who plans:

1. Romantic anniversary, honeymoon, or weekend getaways to top tropical destinations including the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, and more. You tell me where you want to go!

2. All-inclusive vacations with VIP amenities to the best 4- and 5- star resorts in the Caribbean.

3. The top ocean and river cruise lines that sail around the world and provide unique, once in a lifetime excursions or activities.

4. Luxury group trips for adults including milestone birthdays, friend getaways, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and more!

A few more things about me:

I just got married on 12/15/23 (happiest day of my life).

I have 4 fur babies; 2 dogs and 2 kitties.

One of my favorite places in the world is the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

And if I could get on a plane tomorrow and go anywhere, I’d choose Antigua and Barbuda because of their pink sand beaches.

When I’m packing my bags the one thing I never forget to bring is my phone chargers and apple air tags.

The first thing I do when I arrive at a hotel is check to see how comfy my bed is.

Starting next week, I will be shifting my focus from Instagram to my new, exclusive, and private Facebook group. I will still try to post on Instagram 2-3 times each week but will be posting in my Facebook group 2-3 times PER DAY.

Happy first birthday to Deluxe Diamond Travel! One year ago today, I made the decision to take a step back from the serving/bar industry and do something that makes me happy and proud of myself. I wanted to have a job that I didn’t absolutely despise going to every day. One year ago, I was terrified to launch this business that I had worked on for MONTHS to prepare. I was scared of people thinking “She’s just a server, what makes her think she can do this?” or “Why is she leaving steady pay and starting her own business?”

But, one year ago, I said "Screw it", launched this business, changed my life for the better, and absolutely LOVE what I do today. This business is my baby and watching the seeds I’ve planted bloom is an incredible feeling. Deluxe Diamond Travel’s first year was amazing, and I cannot wait to watch it continue to blossom and grow.

Here are 4 of my best tips to get you through yet another crazy travel year:

✈️ Book those flights well in advance. At least three to four months in advance for international trips and six to eight weeks for domestic trips.

🔎 Avoid online travel agencies. I need a whole novel to cover all of the reasons, but the biggest one is the lack of consistency and care and the fact that you’re always at the bottom of the barrel when you book through an online travel agency.

✨ Look for added value. No surprises, travel is not as cheap as it once was, so finding ways to add value to your getaways is key. For example, working with a travel advisor is a great way to get access to better rates, promotions, extra perks, etc.

⏰ Give yourself maximum flexibility. Whether it’s booking the flex fare or refundable hotel rate or adding travel insurance (always have travel insurance!), give yourself lots of flexibility just in case things don’t go exactly as planned.

So how do you narrow it down? Ask yourself these 3 questions!

❓What do you not get enough of every day?
Rest? Relaxation? Adventure?

❓How much time do you have?
How many PTO days do you have, and how can you maximize them?

❓What weather makes you happy?
Most are happy to getaway from the freezing cold and escape to a tropical paradise!

These questions are a great way to narrow down the list a little.
