To wake up somewhere new.
To drink your coffee on the verandah.
To let the kids run off to the kids clubs while you sneak away to Palo, the spa, or maybe just a quiet chair by the pool.

To watch Broadway-style shows after dinner, order room service just because you can, spend the day on Disney’s private island, and end the night with the ocean outside your window.

A Disney Cruise is one of those vacations where there’s plenty to do, but you don’t have to do all of it.

If you’re visiting EPCOT this fall, don’t make the mistake of thinking the Food & Wine Festival is just for adults.

There are THREE fun festival activities that give kids, and you, something to look forward to while you explore EPCOT.

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak
Grab a map and stickers and search EPCOT for Remy hiding with different ingredients. Match the stickers to your map as you find him, then redeem your map for a festival keepsake.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Visiting around Halloween? Search EPCOT for Disney character-inspired pumpkins, add the matching stickers to your game board, and redeem it for a spooky keepsake.

Emile’s Fromage Montage
This one is for the foodies! Find five qualifying cheese dishes throughout the festival, collect a stamp for each one in your Festival Passport, and redeem your completed challenge for a special treat.

My Disney planning tip: When you purchase your Remy’s Hide & Squeak or Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit map, ask to get your completer prize right then instead of waiting until you finish. That way you don’t have to worry about making it back to a redemption location later, or your prize choice being gone by the time you finish.

These are such a fun way to experience EPCOT in the fall with kids. While the adults are checking out the Food & Wine Festival booths, the kids have something to search for along the way. Save this for your fall Disney trip, especially if EPCOT is on your list with kids!

I’ve got a lot on my plate… and I’m perfectly fine with it looking like this.

Charcuterie, cocktails, and rooftop views at Bar Helios? Exactly where I want to be.

Located at Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Bar Helios is one of those spots I’d recommend even if you’re not staying at the resort. Come for a drink, order a few things to share, and stay for those Epic Universe views.

Consider this your reminder that a Universal vacation can include a little rooftop charcuterie moment, too.

Because did I really go to Disney if I didn’t document every snack, cocktail, coffee, and meal along the way?

Some people plan their Disney days around rides. I’m just saying… I already know where we’re eating next.

And yes, the food is absolutely one of the most important parts of the trip.

The Theme Park View rooms at Universal Helios Grand Hotel might be one of my favorite reasons to stay here. You’re not just staying steps away from Epic Universe—you get to watch the park come to life in the morning and see it completely lit up at night without ever leaving your room.

And with Helios Grand’s dedicated entrance into Epic Universe, the location is hard to beat.

If Epic Universe is a big priority for your Universal Orlando vacation, this is absolutely a room category I’d consider.

Good thing I already have a Disney Cruise countdown going, so this little experiment will have to wait another year.
