At sundown tomorrow, Passover begins. And this weekend, we also enter Holy Week — the most sacred days of the Christian calendar.

Long ago, God told His people to mark their doorposts with the blood of the spotless lamb. That night, judgement passed over them, and they walked in freedom.

Centuries later, during this same season, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, gave His life. Not just to cover sin for a moment, but to remove it forever. Not just to free one nation, but to open the way for all.

As Holy Week begins and Passover draws near, we remember: this story has always been about Him. His love. His sacrifice. Our rescue.

Thank you, Jesus.

Did you know that Saint Patrick wasn’t actually Irish? Born into a Christian family in Roman Britain in the late 4th or early 5th century, he was kidnapped by Irish raiders as a teenager and enslaved in Ireland. During his six years in captivity, working as a shepherd, he experienced a deep spiritual transformation. Isolated in the wilderness, he turned to prayer and developed a strong personal relationship with God. He later described in his writings how he would pray hundreds of times a day, growing in faith despite his suffering.

After years of captivity, he escaped — but later, he felt called by God to return and share the message of Christ. Through is missionary work, St. Patrick spread Christianity across Ireland, using the shamrock to explain the Trinity. His legacy is celebrated every year on March 17, a day of faith, culture, and Irish heritage! 🇮🇪☘️

This evening marks the start of Purim, a joyous Jewish holiday that celebrates the biblical story of Queen Esther. It is a holiday celebrating courage, faith, and divine purpose. It is a day to remember God’s providence and the triumph of good over evil. It is a day of gratitude and hope.

Common traditions of Purim include reading the Book of Esther, giving gifts to friends and donating to those in need, and rejoicing with festive meals and costumes. One traditional Purim food is 𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯, a sweet, square pastry filled with poppy seeds, fruit preserves, or chocolate. The name translates to “Hamen’s ears” and they symbolize the defeat of the villainous Hamen, from an old custom in which enemies were symbolically “cut down” by cutting off their ears.
