Discover a perfect getaway in the intimate six room hotel .santisima.trinidad (between San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hidalgo). The new highway will make for a great drive to this wonderland. So if you have been wanting to stay in a hotel-vineyard, which BTW also has a great restaurant overlooking a lagoon, grape harvest season is always the best time (Aug thru October). Don't miss their amazing lotions, olive oil, and, of course, their award-winning wine, which are all for sale in the store. Legend or not, a woman named Catarina de San Juan, aka the China Poblana did exist, and she lived in this very house now transformed into the beautiful where we enjoyed a 5star stay in a room with original finishes, woke up listening to church bells followed by breakfast (included) outside our room and making it very hard for us to leave this stunning Casona!!

It was hard to keep my eyes focused on anything else other than the thousands of antique books that surrounded me as I walked into the Biblioteca Palafoxiana in downtown Puebla City, but the gilded altar and gorgeous Tal...
