Dear wonderful customers and prospective customers:
For more than 13 years, Dallas by Chocolate and Dallas Bites & Sights Tours brought joy to people from all over Texas and the entire world. We started on a dare (yes, that’s true!) with a company name that came to me in a dream, and more than 25,000 people have taken our public and private tours…so many of them repeat guests!
We have made the difficult decision to close the company, effective March 11, 2025. We wish we had more notice, but our current financial situation warrants that we close by that date. Dramatically higher operating costs have made doing business much harder lately.
Thank you for an extremely successful run—from our sell-out Christmas Lights, Chocolate & Sips Tours and wildly popular Taco & Margarita Tours to our ground-breaking Vegan Tours and THE BACON TOUR, which brought us national attention. Best of all, our commitment to bringing our tours to local-only venues greatly helped out many small businesses and gave them much-needed exposure.
We thank all of you, who have shared food and cultural adventures with loved ones and new-found friends over the years. Thank you for spreading the word to so many people. Thank you to the local businesses that have allowed us to bring our tours by, and who had faith in us. And finally, a very special thank you to our beloved tour hosts, who made the magic happen as ambassadors not only for our company…but for the city of Dallas.
Our last public tours will be March 1 and March 8 (Taco/Margarita Tour and Dallas by Chocolate Tours…seats remain) and the last Taste of Bishop Arts walking tour on March 9. This is your last chance to experience one of our tours, and tickets are on sale now at www.dallasbychocolate.com
If you have a Dallas by Chocolate/Dallas Bites & Sights gift certificate, you can redeem it for these tours. Or we can refund it until December 31, 2025. Just write to
[email protected] and provide your gift card number.
I AM still available year round to conduct private tours as a hired host (such as a corporate, church or social group that hires the bus and pays for the food, and then I coordinate/guide the tour and come on the bus or lead a walking tour) or to speak to groups about the history of chocolate, Dallas neighborhoods past and present, etc. Just contact me at [email protected]
Please continue to support the establishments that you’ve visited on our tours. It’s been so much fun, everyone!
With sweet love,
Jeanine Stevens
