TVChef Uno Immanivong, owner of Red Stix Asian Street Food, recently sat down with Adriana López from NBC DFW's Texas Today to chat about the North Texas Food Bank’s 25th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser! 🎉 The event will take place on Thursday, February 27th from 6-9 p.m., where Chef Uno will be serving her signature Duck FatChef Uno Immanivong, owner of Red Stix Asian Street Food, recently sat down with Lopez from NBC DFW's Texas Today to chat about the North Texas Food Bank’s 25th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser! 🎉 The event will take place on Thursday, February 27th from 6-9 p.m., where Chef Uno will be serving her signature Duck FatAdriana López Fried Rice.

This incredible event will feature bowl-friendly dishes from nearly 20 talented chefs and restaurants across North Texas. Beyond delicious food and entertainment, attendees will get to choose a handmade bowl crafted by a local artisan—an important reminder that not everyone has access to a full bowl.

KidLinks’ 15th Annual Symphony of Chefs is next month, and we are so excited about our slate of chefs! Uno Immanivong is Chef/Owner of Red Stix Asian Street Food & Chef Uno Catering & Events. A first-generation Asian American, Uno was born in a refugee camp in Nong Khai, Thailand, run by the United Nations Organization (UNO), for which she was named. Uno’s culinary career started early, serving as her mom’s “sous” chef for Laotian weddings and events (seriously, Uno could peel shrimp remarkably fast for an 8 year old!).

But Uno’s big career break came in 2012, when Uno was on a culinary cooking show called “The Taste” and Anthony Bourdain was her mentor. The experience profoundly changed Uno’s life and inspired her to shift from a 16-year career in banking to the restaurant and hospitality industry.
