THIS. Could this picture be any more beautifull?! It’s the Cathedral in Florence, Italy, or “Firenze” to the locals… the HQ of the Renaissance in the heart of Tuscany. This cathedral, known as the “Duomo di Firenze, or the “Cattedrale de Santa Maria del Fiore” (the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flowers), is the center of Florence, with Florence being the Italian epicenter of amazing art, culture, history, wine, food, shopping, etc., in northern Italy… it’s simply *magnificent*! The Duomo was begun in 1296 & finally finished by a famous Italian, Filippo Brunelleschi, in 1436 & then consecrated to the Catholic church. It’s the most incredibly ornate church on the outside, & the most surprisingly plain church on the inside you’ll ever see! This city is simply *MAGIC*. Had a great weekend with our safari outfitter friends in town from Tanzania for the Travel & Adventure Show! (Don’t miss the elephants, giraffes, zebras & more woven into my hat band! ha). These 2 guys were like BFFs the moment they met… Miriam & I laughed our heads off watching these 2, it was so fun & funny! Been looking forward to this weekend all year, & it did not disappoint. (And dinner at Celebration didn’t hurt, either! lol).

On that subject, we are proud to announce: JOIN US for our exciting “TIKI HEADS TO AFRICA” Safari group trip in late Jan/early Feb 2026… you can hike the spectacular Mt. Kilimanjaro peak, and/or then join us for the safari week, we’ll be there for the BIG EPIC animal migration to see all the animals! WE’ll be on the Serengeti, a lifelong dream. And then a bonus long weekend at the beach in ZANZIBAR!
