My Firm (and other career) is pleased to announce another notable verdict today.

The jury in my client's case awarded $496,385.69 in damages for his claims. This included $440,00.00 in compensatory damages and $56,385.69 for past medical expenses.

My jury also found the Defendant in this case criminally negligent for his operation of his mustang GT500 at the time he collided head-on with my client.

The jury found the defendant negligent and was speeding northbound in the slow lane of Skillman near Martel in Dallas County, Texas on a Sunday morning when the crash occurred.

The Defendant in this case was attempting a "Texas left turn" and crossed three lanes of traffic including two oncoming lanes, one of which was occupied by my client traveling southbound to buy breakfast for his family.

The investigating officer testified that the defendant engaged in a "display of acceleration" as that term is known in the law enforcement community.

My client suffered a fractured wrist and ulna which consequently required three surgeries including internal fixation of his bones and ligaments to facilitate repair of his right arm.

My client's wife and father testified that his current limitations are significant secondary to this crash that occurred in 2020.

The defendant's final offer before trial was $200,000.

The Cessna 150 and 152 became the most popular civilian training aircraft after World War II, as well as economical recreational vehicles for weekend pilots. Nestled in the Swiss Alps, Pilatus has its headquarters at the Buochs Airport in Stans, where it opened its doors in 1939. The name of the company comes from Mount Pilatus, a mountain with several peaks as high as almost 7,000 feet, towering over the quaint town. The mountain’s name originates from Pontius Pilate, whose body, legend claims, was disposed of in a lake on the mountain. Legend also has it that the intense storms that occasionally rise from the mountain stem from Pilate’s restless ghost rising from the lake to wash the blood of Christ from his hands.

Pilatus’ airplanes emulate the strength, power and beauty of the Alps. The company started out building the SB-2 Pelican, designed specifically for mountain flying, with terrific short field and climb performance capabilities. An immensely successful mountain-flying and STOL performer came along in 1959 when Pilatus introduced the PC-6 Porter. The company has also seen much success with military training platforms.
