Big news if you love Sandals, Beaches, Royal Caribbean, or Celebrity. Royal Caribbean Group has agreed to take a 50% stake in Sandals and Beaches Resorts, a deal worth about $3 billion.

What could that mean down the road? My guess is cruise-and-stay trips where you sail first and then finish with a few nights at Sandals or Beaches, and maybe loyalty perks that carry over between the ship and the resort. For families, a Royal Caribbean sailing paired with a Beaches stay could be a pretty great combo.

None of that is confirmed yet, though. Neither company has announced guest perks, packages, or loyalty details.

Puerto Vallarta has been on a lot of people's "someday" list lately, and this week someday got about $400 cheaper.

Through October 22, you can save up to $400 instantly on Puerto Vallarta hotel stays booked as a vacation package. The travel window is wide open (anytime through September 30, 2027), so it works for a winter escape, spring break with the kids, or next summer.
