BIG NEWS! 🔦

The animated series, Captain Flashlight Jr., has officially moved into production!

This is a HUGE milestone for us. What started as an idea, then became characters, stories, artwork and a mission we believed in, is now becoming an animated series.

Our writers' room is officially underway with Rod Butler, Steve Gaçonnier and Jason Fox working together on the pilot episode.
And production is underway with bringing the world of Captain Flashlight Jr. to life!

But we didn't get here alone.

To everyone who donated, prayed for us, shared Captain Flashlight Jr. with others, or simply showed genuine interest in what we're trying to build, thank you. Your support is why this big idea is coming to life for the next generation of kids. We hope you know that you're a part of this too.

As we put our heads down and focus on the story and production, things may get a little quiet here on social media for a while. That’s a good thing. It means we’re busy making the show.

Hang in there with us. We’ll be back soon with more to share.

Help name a new character for the Captain Flashlight Jr. series!

We love these name options!
"Rico Suave" 🤣.

Now we need your help narrowing the best names.

We asked what you thought we should name Filament City’s neighborhood bodega owner, and you came through with some great suggestions.

So… here are the finalists:

Enzo
Arturo
Rocco
Auggie
Alonzo
Kenji

Which one looks like HIM?

Drop your favorite in the comments. 👇

And if you’re still convinced you have a better name, we’re listening!

Ellie Brighton has some exciting news to share. 🎥

She recently joined Rod Butler and Steve Gaçonnier for an interview with AdChat DFW to talk about the animated kids series Captain Flashlight Jr.

And yes, she answered a few questions herself.

We think she may have a future in this. 😉

Check out the interview and meet Ellie!

In Texas, stars aren't given. They're earned.

Excited to finally share this Friday Night Lights-inspired spot for Gexa Energy.
Produced by Janimation and directed by Steve Gaçonnier, this project was created in partnership with Anderson and brought to life in Denison, Texas.

There's something special about producing in a small town. The pride, energy, and willingness of an entire community to come together creates an authenticity you simply can't fake. From the football field to Main Street, Denison showed up in a big way and helped make this project something special.

Sincere gratitude goes to Anderson, Gexa Energy, Cathy King, Nick Utter, Tony Kaai, Denison Tourism, Dr. Kirkbride, the Magic School Bus crew, the Denison Chamber of Commerce, the City of Denison, Denison ISD, and especially the students, coaches, and players who generously shared their community pride and energy with us. Your passion is what makes Friday nights in Texas unforgettable.

Proud of what the Janimation team accomplished and grateful for the opportunity to tell this story.
