We decided to open a travel company where we could share our unique recommendations, artful experiences, curated accommodations, and spectacular locations with others, and in some cases, escort y
ou there personally. We search for intimate and meaningful settings across the globe where small groups and individuals are able to absorb the destination with a sense of peace and wonder. Our favorite adventures are animal-centric journeys to remote and exotic lands to see the world's most incredible wildlife in their natural habit. These are among the very finest experiences on the planet whether enjoyed in a magnificent palace, a simple tent in the wilderness, or on a kayak paddling among the whales. But there's also the intimate side of a magical boutique hotel with an amazing view, a private epicurean dinner in a romantic setting, or a sublime cultural experience rarely enjoyed but by the most curious traveler. There's the stillness in listening to birdsong, the peace of walking amongst koalas, the thrill of glimpsing a snow leopard, the exhilaration of hearing a lion roar near your tent. Relishing an insider shopping spree, having custom clothes made to measure, learning to blend your own bespoke gin, luxuriating on a private verandah overlooking a World Heritage site, or studying painting with an Aboriginal artist all make for a memorable journey. Sherry Heard - Dallas, Texas/Jaipur, India
My name is Sherry Heard, co-founder of The Pug And The Parrot, writer, and luxury travel designer. As a lifelong traveler, I have visited nearly 100 countries plus all seven continents. And I continue to fearlessly explore. I hold a degree in Journalism from the University of Texas, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and have done post graduate studies in Art and History, Oxford University, UK. My forte is planning and designing complex itineraries for individuals and small groups. Each year I craft and escort private luxury tours to India. (See our Beatles India Tours FB page). I have visited the Subcontinent more than 15 times on extended stays. I am also a repeat traveler and specialist to Kenya, Scotland, South Pacific, South Africa, Iceland, Chile, Peru, and booking agent for luxury world voyages and expedition cruises. I proudly earned Gold 100% New Zealand Specialist and Aussie Specialist, Australia, visiting all states of that country. Jas Pratap Singh is a Government of India licensed, credentialed tour guide and tour director with nearly 20 years’ experience in inbound Indian tourism catering to North American, European, and Australian travelers. He holds a degree in Business and Law from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. In addition to leading in-depth, enriching, and informative tours, Jas is effective in managing intricate itinerary details including complex logistics, budgeting, and contingency plans. Jas creatively implements all facets of the travel experience including itinerary design and audience-appropriate destination information. He has an uncanny flair for devising unique and interesting materials and interpretations. Jas's greatest strengths beyond his unparalleled travel knowledge are his stellar interpersonal and communication skills, plus multiplex problem solving abilities which allow him to optimize the guest experience, especially in the luxury market. He is co-founder of The Pug and Parrot Luxury Travel, circa 2015. And as an expert chef and spice connoisseur, he has recently realized a lifetime dream of establishing a thriving family recipe restaurant in Bani Park, Jaipur (Jas Kitchen, Lost Recipes of India) which has received countless accolades and millions of views on its social media platforms.
