On Friday, September 11, 2026, we were honored to attend the 19th Annual 9/11 Never Forget First Responder Lunch at the Original Oyster House.

The luncheon provided an opportunity to honor and remember the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001, as well as those who continue to serve and protect their communities each day.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedicated first responders who serve Daphne and our surrounding communities. Your courage, sacrifice, and commitment to others do not go unnoticed.

As we marked 25 years since September 11, we remember, we honor, and we never forget. 🇺🇸

🎶 The King is coming to Daphne! 👑⚡️

The 2026 Alabama Elvis Festival kicks off TOMORROW at the Daphne Civic Center! Get ready for three days celebrating the music, energy and legacy of Elvis Presley with an incredible lineup of award-winning Elvis tribute artists from across the country. 🎤🕺

The festival gets underway Thursday with Elvis at the Movies at 2:00 PM, followed by Elvis Is Back! at 7:30 PM — and the music continues all weekend long!

We’re excited to welcome performers, Elvis fans and visitors to Daphne for a weekend of great music and plenty of TCB! ⚡️

Such exciting news for Daphne! 🌊💙

The addition of the new Jubilee Recreation & Fishing Pier will be another wonderful enhancement to Bayfront Park and an incredible investment in outdoor recreation and public access to beautiful Mobile Bay.

With so much already taking shape at Bayfront Park, it’s exciting to see the continued investment in creating more ways for our residents and visitors to get outside, experience our waterfront and enjoy what makes the Jubilee City so special.

I can’t wait to see this one come to life! 🎣🌅

The City of Daphne is thrilled to have been awarded a $5 Million GOMESA Grant by Governor Kay Ivey and Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner Chris Blankenship. These funds will help construct the new pier at Bayfront Park & Amphitheater, connecting Bayfront to Village Point Park Preserve.

“We appreciate the continued support that the State of Alabama has shown during my administration with realizing the dream of a complete bay front development project,” says Mayor Robin LeJeune. “With our brand new streetscape, soon-to-be open amphitheater and plans underway for the new recreation center at the Infirmary Building, this pier will be a centerpiece for the citizens of Daphne, residents of the Eastern Shore and all visitors to enjoy.”

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲!🦀🎉

In partnership with Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre, we are inviting the community to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime project as we bring our Jubilee City’s history to life!🙌

The City of Daphne and Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre are collaborating this summer to develop & workshop a parade to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the City of Daphne in 2027. The 2026 summer workshop will culminate with a presentation of ideas & concepts including a prototype parade. The parade features an original story and musical score created and developed by David Redman Scott and David Dabbon that blends the history of Daphne, local folklore and stage craft to create an original and unique celebration for all to enjoy.

The parade workshop “auditions” (ALL ARE WELCOME!) will be held at the Nicholson Center for the Arts, located at 1410 Captain O’Neal Drive, Daphne on Friday, July 24, 5:00 – 7:00 PM or Saturday, July 25, 10 AM – 12 Noon. No experience necessary!✨

Parade workshop rehearsals will be held in the evenings Monday, July 27 – Thursday, July 30, 2026!🗓️

Our prototype parade presentations will be held Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 7:30 - 9:00 PM. The Spirit of Daphne Parade will roll through the Jubilee City during Fall 2027! 🌟

⚾️ We’re still celebrating the incredible success of the 2D World Series in Daphne! From a great 2 weeks of tournament action to a special visit from Alabama legend AJ McCarron at the Discover Daphne booth, it was truly one for the books!

Even more exciting, Discover Daphne was recently featured in an industry publication highlighting the impact of sports tourism and this memorable event. Here’s to continuing to welcome athletes, families and fans to Daphne! 💙🌊
