Broken knife handle and a knife missing from the block so best get a nice new set. One piece knives and has its own sharpener built in. Keeping things fresh 🙂

Although determined this time to just chill out for 2 weeks and no jobs, in all honesty was probably never going to happen 😁. Doesn’t help when you have a certain little character in your ear 😉. Complete clean and additional filler added to the cushions and very pleased with the results.

Second traffic update - it’s not a fluke!!! Left the villa last night at 6.33 pm and approached Magic Kingdom entrance at 6.57 pm. Loving the improvement on I-4

WOW!! As many people will know I-4 is notorious for the traffic and especially around the ChampionsGate exit.

When we were here in March they had just started the work on putting in another lane and read well over a month ago that this was already completed (just like in the U.K. 😆) and traffic was flowing much better.

Today we went to Animal Kingdom and thought we would be taking the “secret route” as although leaving quite early with the work traffic expected I-4 to be busy, but Waze told us this was marginally the faster route, so thought we would risk it to see if the new lanes had made any difference.

When we approached the exit you could see the traffic flowing freely and was the same all the way to the World Drive exit. We checked timings and left our home in Providence at 7.25 and pulled up to the booths at AK entrance at 7.50.

Obviously only one journey (although yesterday afternoon went on I-4 as well and again traffic flowed very well both ways) but if this is consistent it is a massive improvement and makes staying in ChampionsGate and surrounding areas a lot more accessible 🙂

Well we have new arrivals today - a late booking so it’s a big welcome back to ……us!

We managed to get flights from Newcastle to Melbourne with TUI for £260 each and with not needing luggage (and only being a few miles from the airport and we could get a lift, so not even the cost for taxis) and a bit of a gap until our next guests, well it would be rude not to!

We are here for 2 weeks so still time before the next guests arrive after we leave to get a fortnight away if you want to take advantage of these cheap flights (looks like similar prices at other airports around the country)
