Great news for Timberline Ski Resort. Perfect North Slopes has purchased with plans to rebuild for the 2020/2021 season.
But don’t fret friends, there are great ski opportunities this winter at White Grass and Canaan State Park!

It sure is hard to capture how beautiful the drives are from to .....but as you can tell...it’s all sorts of orange,yellow, green and red everywhere as far as the eyes can see...

Marrakech is our family’s retreat in WV where we go to unwind from our busy lives in the suburbs. The house sits on a wooded lot adjacent to Sand Run Lake in Old Timberline, Canaan Valley, WV.

This area of WV is for outdoor lovers. After filling your day of skiing, biking, hiking, boating and fishing, you can come back to Marrakech for some well needed R&R. Soak in the outdoor hot tub or gather around the fire pit for s’mores and conversation. You can also spend time floating on the lake in either the paddle boat or canoes.

The views from the Great Room and kitchen bring nature in making you feel calm and inspired through the seasons. Abundant rainfall and warm temps make this a blissful spring and summer respite in all its green glory, while the falls colors amaze in their blaze of color. And nothing is quite like being surrounded by the white blanket of snow cover while cozying up to the fireplace indoors.

The house offers creature comforts of crisp linens and bedding, fresh towels and comfy beds. The gourmet kitchen is well equipped for creating delicious family meals and holiday celebrations. Naturally, it becomes the hub of activity in the house. And while we welcome the opportunity to unplug, WiFi and satellite TV keep us updated if we chose to stay tuned. But more fun is had in the game room playing pool, fuse ball or just hanging out listening to tunes.

Our parents Denny & Woofer named this special place Marrakech after living in Morocco where our dad was stationed in the Navy. To them Marrakech was a unique and wondrous place just like this little slice of WV heaven!
