Last night, we got an exclusive sneak peek at the new Green & Green Co. Cheez-It Historical Marker! 🧀

WHIO's The Evening Edge host Todd Hollst broadcasted his show live from Carillon Brewing Co., as we celebrated a little piece of Dayton history.

Did you know Cheez-Its have Dayton roots? Green & Green Co.'s economical crackers helped keep Americans fed during the post-World War I recession, throughout the Roaring Twenties, and into the early years of the Great Depression. In 1932, Green & Green Co. sold the business to Kansas City's Loose-Wilse Biscuit Co., marking the end of Cheez-It production in Dayton.

As part of the Amplified Series sponsored by the City of Dayton, Reggae Fest will light up Levitt Pavilion Dayton on September 5 at 5:30 p.m.🎶

This high-energy evening features performances by Da Squad, Seefari, and headliner The Meditations, whose soulful sound blends reggae, dancehall, and rock.

Hailing from Jamaica, The Meditations brings powerful messages of love and empowerment, while local favorites Da Squad and Seefari keep the crowd grooving with Caribbean funk and feel-good vibes.

As always, all Levitt concerts are FREE and open to the public - no ticket necessary.

Hosting not only the opener of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament each March, but also home of the minor league baseball team, the Dayton Dragons, Montgomery County is a premiere spot for popular sports for families to enjoy!

History in sports is also deeply rooted here as the very first National Football League (NFL) game took place at what is now Triangle Park.

Sports in Montgomery County go beyond spectator entertainment. Residents and visitors can enjoy dozens of miles of bike and hike trails, flowing rivers to kayak or canoe, open courses for golf, disk golf, dog parks, and more!
