The Mayor’s Tree Lighting brought our entire community together through joyful music, festive treats, and activities that filled the evening with warmth. Yet the most magical part wasn’t just what we experienced, it was who we experienced it with. Neighbors, families, friends, and visitors all gathered as one, creating a moment that felt truly special.

Glow, run, and have some holiday fun!

Mark your calendar! The Glow-in-the-Dark Christmas Reindeer Run 5K is Saturday, December 13!

• Race starts at 6:00 PM
• Location: Kern Heights Church parking lot, 822 N. 9th St., De Queen, Arkansas
• Entry fee: $30 pre-registration or $35 on race day
• Register: Use the scan code on the flyer to sign up

Prizes and awards:
• $50 cash prize for the most “Glowing Runner”
• Three divisions with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals in each division

Symphony Orchestra, Brian will perform at the Mayor’s 5th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with world-class warmth, energy, and holiday spirit.

The wait is finally over! Join us Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Pine Ridge Park on De Queen Lake as we officially open the brand-new De Queen Lake Trails — a place built for adventure, connection, and community.
🕘 Registration: 9:00–10:00 AM
🔥 Opening Ceremony: 10:00–11:00 AM
We’ll kick things off with a heartfelt dedication featuring the American Legion, DQ Show Choir, Judge Sandra Dunn, and the Mine Creek–Paraclifta Chapter, NSDAR, followed by the America 250 Patriot Marker Dedication.
