🚨 WE’RE MAKING HISTORY! 🚨

East Central Community College has set another all-time enrollment record!

📈 3,324 students are calling ECCC home this fall, an increase of 308 students over last year!

💪 Since Fall 2022, ECCC enrollment has grown 28.48%. The highest five-year growth rate of any community college in Mississippi.

This kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of a college-wide commitment to recruiting, retaining, and serving students from their first interaction with ECCC through graduation.

And it’s a reflection of the confidence students and families have in the quality, affordability, and opportunities available right here at East Central.

We loved spending the day with local high school counselors discussing new pathways, financial aid, and student success. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and contribute to such a great conversation!

Our partnership with all of our area counselors is what helps our local students thrive. Whether you were able to sit at the table with us this week or were holding down the fort back at your high school, we appreciate everything you do!

Investing in our local students starts with strong partnerships! We were thrilled to host county district high school counselors on campus for a collaborative workshop.

Our administration, faculty, and student services staff spent the day sharing updates on financial aid, transfer pathways, housing, and our high-demand healthcare and CTE programs.

Working together ensures our local high school students have a smooth, successful transition to higher education. Thank you for your continued dedication to our community's youth!

The new Impact Scholarship Program, launching for the Fall 2026 semester, awards $1,000 to students based on academic achievement and financial need.

Applicants must submit an essay honoring an influential educator, with winners and their chosen teachers recognized at a special Decatur campus reception. Check out the link below for more photos from the event below.
