We are happy to share that electricity, water, and internet services have been restored! For any volunteers, responders, or displaced residents please reach out if you are in need of a place to stay! We would love to give back to our community.

We have confirmation that our lair was not damaged during hurricane Helene! We are so very grateful. While the community of Powder Horn does not have electricity or running water, we are hopeful these services will be restored by next week.

Now it is time for us to help our community! As soon as we have services restored we encourage responders, displaced residents, or any others affected by Helene to reach out if they need a place to stay. We will continue to offer short term stays for 2024, and will consider short, mid-term, or long term stays beginning in 2025.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to see if we're ok. At this time we do not think the house has suffered any damage, and hope to confirm soon. We have no water or electricity and no estimated timeline for services to resume.

For anyone who has an upcoming reservation we will be reaching out to you individually as we know more.

The community of Powder Horn Mountain seems to have faired well, all things considered. We do have lots of power lines and trees down in the neighborhood and ask that you keep our community and the rest of the high country in your thoughts and prayers as restoration and clean up efforts continue from Helene.
