Another fun Monday on the lake. Our kayaks stayed home while we enjoyed a pontoon ride.
We walked the road but the hills were not popular.

A nice walk in Crosby, a pontoon ride and lunch provided by Ellen, all in all, another great day! I understand pontooning is on the agenda for next week as well…..I guess we’ll be the BLL Pontooners!!

A fun day on Upper Hay Lake. Thanks to Claire for hosting us and making the delicious fruit pizza and strawberry daiquiris. We had LOTS of good treats to go along with them. 8 of us paddled, Lisa joined us for the first time this summer, and Karla and Ellen joined us for lunch. As usual, great conversations and lots of laughs!!

We paddled on the calmest water we’ve had all summer! Thanks to Pat for hosting us! We loved the root b**r floats! Thanks to Ari, our youngest participant, for assisting grandma with making them!

We had a nice walk and then headed out on Gilbert Lake. There was a little wind on our way over to Clare’s house, but Mary Claire led us on the least windy route. We had lunch on Clare’s deck over looking the lake and got to paddle back WITH the wind!! 2 weeks in a row! Thanks to Clare for hosting and making the delicious pasta salad and to Jerry for bringing our lunches over and being our photographer.

Our latest adventure across Rice Lake. We actually had the wind at our backs going home!! It was a very hot walk, then a nice paddle to Marlee’s cabin, lunch, great conversation and Dilly Bars!! Thanks for hosting Marlee!

We heard it was going to be sweltering hot and very windy…..it was misting and a cool 68-70 degrees for our walk and kayak with very little wind! Turned out to be a great day, so glad we decided to ignore the weather report and go! Thanks to Laurie for hosting and making lunch! And thanks to Bob for being our boat guy, photographer, and trailer backer upper!! The storm finally hit for about 15 minutes, but we were warm and dry enjoying some after lunch conversation!

Ten of us showed up on gorgeous day for a walk and paddle around the Portsmouth mine pit. Calm water and perfect temperatures are what we love! A good lunch at Rafferty’s and lively conversation wrapped up our outing this week.

Another beautiful Monday at the Pennington mine pit. We started with a longer than usual walk, 4.97 miles and then a shorter paddle to the “Caribbean blue water” in the mineral pool. Good lunch and conversation, we had a paddle snafu so Claire had an interesting time. I hope I can add the video of her 1/2 paddle paddling!!😂 Got it added! Also, forgot to mention the black bear that was in the road when we left! Fun to see when we were safely sitting in our car….glad we didn’t meet it on our walk!Now I see it posted twice!! Not sure how that happened, but I’m leaving it because once before I tried to delete one and they both went away!!
