Most people overpack clothes.....and underpack chargers.

Before every trip, take a photo of:

Your passport or ID
Credit cards (front and back—stored securely)
Hotel confirmation
Flight information
Travel insurance

You learn so much about a destination by slowing down for one cup of coffee.

It's your daughter embracing being a mermaid while chasing waves.
It’s your son building the biggest sandcastle and pretending to be Godzilla.
It’s a family inside joke that makes you laugh so hard you snort!
It's your teenager actually putting their phone down because the sunset is that beautiful.
It's getting lost in a little town and accidentally finding your new favorite coffee shop.
It's the stories your family tells for years after everyone has forgotten what day it even happened.

Travel has a funny way of turning ordinary moments into lifelong memories.

💛 Our hearts are with our neighbors in Canada. 💛

As the devastating wildfires continue, we’re keeping every family, first responder, and community in our prayers. The beauty of Canada’s forests and landscapes has touched so many lives, and it’s heartbreaking to see so much loss.

For those traveling over the next several days, it’s also important to be mindful that wildfire smoke doesn’t stay where the fires are. Changing wind patterns have carried smoke into parts of the United States, creating poor air quality in some regions. Officials have issued air quality alerts across portions of the Midwest and Northeast.

Travel is about creating beautiful memories, and part of that is traveling safely and caring for one another.

From all of us at Opal Coast Travels, we’re praying for healing, protection, rain where it’s needed, and strength for everyone affected. 🤍🍁
