Our mission at the Visitor Center is to share how agriculture has built our community, highlight the local farms, and share local products made right here in Delta Junction.

Have you seen these beautifully hand carved vehicles made and donated my Michael and Ingrid Clay? If you haven’t… make sure to look above the bison. You have today and tomorrow to stop by the visitor center and see them before we close for the season.

Happy Labor Day to the workers of every field!

While Labor Day is a federal holiday, it also signifies to much of Alaska that the tourism season coming to an end. The DJVC will be closing for the season in just a few short days on September 5. Our hours for the rest of the season is 10AM-4PM.

Did you know, this weekend is the last weekend the visitor center will be open for the season?

Stop by to view our locally made products or take some selfies with the taxidermy (swans, bear, bison, etc.) before we close. We close for the season at 4pm September 5. Our hours are 10AM-4PM weekdays and 11AM-4PM weekends.

There’s only 1 week left until the visitor center is closed for the season. There's plenty to see in the visitor center, ranging from locally made merchandise to the taxidermy. If you haven’t stopped by this year, we even have a few new exhibits.

Did you know… there’s a World Mosquito Day? This day marks the anniversary of the discovery that mosquitos transmit the parasite that causes malaria.

If you’ve been to Alaska, you know we have a lot of mosquitos (and other bugs). While you may not like mosquitos, they are a vital food source for numerous animals, including birds, bats, and frogs. Just make sure to bring your bug spray!
