Today I took Tony out on a guided trip to the triangles for some flounder. Once we got out there we caught flounder within a few seconds of the first drop. We caught and released several until we had the ones we wanted. What fun! Did not try for sea bass but managed to snag a couple on the flounder rigs. Found a school of Cobia on the way in but the big ones did not want to play, managed to get one release in. What a great experience to go out to the wrecks from home! Thanks Tony!

Middle bay fishings finest. Plenty of activity out there today. Schools of Mack’s and blues jumping. Turtles. Dolphins. Porpoises. Cobia. Schools of baitfish. Seen a few Cobia getting a good keeper at 51” and a release in the clouds. Looking for some more trips. I’m available. August 1 is taken the rest is open.

Best bay weather of the year = maximum fish catching 🎣 💪 💪 💪. So many fish were on top today, it was just pick and choose. Hooked a couple dozen and brought 18 in the boat. Released all the fish but the two keepers that were males 43.5 and 45”. Wore out Td and his buddies by 12 and caught a couple Mack’s to go along with it. Thanks for another year Td! One of them days you don’t look at the weather app and just show up and go fish. Ran below the rain this morning and fooled around with a bunch of pesky bluefish and spadefish. Full sun popped out the clouds when it was time to go looking for a Cobia on top. Seen a couple dozen fish on top, getting the guys on several fish. 🎣 The guys brought home one beautiful 44” male keeper. Had the second keeper on to end the day but we had a hook pull. The guys earned them today in the rough water! 🌊

Most fun I’ve had chumming for Cobia in a few years. Signed up the Norther neck shootout and see what we could do with em. We had 15 different cobia get on today bringing 11 of them to the boat. All but 3 of them were undersized. Insane bite all day. We kept the two biggest a 50” and a 48” for a total weight of 67 pounds. Not bad. We fished where everyone else chums. Calendar is mostly empty, trips available. Fresh change for fishing is coming as well. Will announce when I’m ready. Call or text 804-436-7147

Happy Father’s Day yall! Today we had Lila and Keegan bring there fathers out for a 3/4 day trip. Two very patient girls full of great questions about the bay and fishing life, waited it out with me and when the fish turned on we were extremely busy. We hooked 6 fish bringing 4 to the boat with one good keeper! Great job girls! Fathers were happy with some bonus Cobia meat to take home. Enjoy! Dates available 804-436-7147

One of those one more cast, give it one more try kind of days. Terrible weather conditions, even after a late start, gave me an opportunity to fish later than I usually do. To say it paid off is an understatement! Chris and the boys kept morale high throughout the day, through the weather conditions and a couple fish breaking off early. The clouds finally cleared and out of nowhere, with no hope in sight, this beautiful 58” Cobia found us on the last pass before coming home! Very thankful to get on a single fish, even one as big as this one, after the way the day had been. Thank you to Chris and friends. Great group! Look forward to the next trip!
