Ackers Point Resort Our Resort first opened in 1891. With 14 lake-side cottages on Long Lake, our guests keep coming back year and year. Family and Pet-friendly!

Acker's Point Resort on beautiful Long Lake has been a favorite vacation spot for families since 1891. The rustic lodge can host larger gathering, and the original store with ice cream, candy and novelties for sale, and Children’s play porch. Amenities include boat docks, canoes, outboards, paddleboats, rowboats, kayaks paddleboards, swimming, and fishing. Our grounds include a beach with clean sa

nd for swimming, campfires and children's play area. A secondary beach hosts more play space for children and dogs. Most cabin rentals have 2 bedrooms and sleep 4-5 people with a few larger units that sleep 7-8 people. Rates range from $650-800 per week. Reindeer on the beach? The Reindeer was a steamboat built in the 1890s, and then later sunk near the beach when it was decreed unsafe to use. Guests still snorkel around looking for its remains.

Trains, plains and automobiles!
Ackers Point Resort was a popular stop along the the Chicago, Kalamazoo & Saginaw (CK&S) Railroad which first took shape in the late 1800s. Such great history around these parts.
The railroad is not longer here, but we are still open for guests. Lake cottages & family memories.
