🏆🌭🏆🍟 You may head to (or mobile order from) Disney California Adventure Park’s Award Wieners for the Hollywood Street-Style Dogs, but I bet you go back for the Film Strip Fries! Have you ever seen french fries cut this way? I’m aware that it defies all logic, but they just taste better than any waffle, shoestring or steak fry around. Oh and they come with a loaded option-Asada Fries! But back to the dogs...

They do offer “seasonal” varieties like specialty corn dogs, but the basic options here are:

All-Beef Hot Dog (pictured)

Uptown Chili Dog (Walt would probably order this)

Bacon Street Dog (They say bacon makes everything better)

Plant-Based Philly Dog (Vegetarians rejoice!)

Each option comes with those Film Strip Fries or Cuties Mandarin Oranges. For around $12, it’s a hearty meal!

😍 Although there are so many unique foods to enjoy at this park, sometimes a new twist on an old favorite is as far as you’re willing to venture. 🌭So which of these dogs is the winner, uh wiener, for you?

🚨🧀🚨🧀New snack alert! (Sound the snack alarm!) If you like ooey gooey mac and cheese, then the folks at Friar’s Nook are ready to help you get your fix while in Magic Kingdom. The brand new Mac and Cheese Hand Pie has a crispy shell and stuffed with mac and cheese and then covered in a cheese sauce. (I know I would be wearing every bit of that cheese in about 45 seconds.) 😂

🎶💈🎶 As today is National Barbershop Music Day it feels like the perfect opportunity to sing the praises of Disney’s Dapper Dans! This incredibly talented quartet made their Disneyland debut in 1959 and then hit Main Street, U.S.A. in Walt Disney World beginning in 1971. This timeless musical tradition is something I look forward to seeing each and every trip. (How could you not feel happy when you hear them belting out such fun melodies?!)

💥 Resort quick service and table service restaurants are where it’s at! Some of the best and most delicious spots to grab a bite to eat are at resorts. ➡️ DON’T be afraid to leave the park for a bite to eat, even with a base park ticket, because you CAN return! ➡️ DON’T be afraid to explore! Curious about a resort? Go check it out and have some lunch there.

YES, the dining plan will cover the delicious Thai meatballs at Capt. Cook’s at the Polynesian or the Cuban at the Grand Floridian’s Gasparilla Cafe. ➡️ Don’t settle for hot dogs when there’s so much more out there to tempt your taste buds! (No offense, Casey’s Corner, we still love you.) Do you resort hop for meals ever? If not, what’s been keeping you captive in the parks?

😵‍💫 Visiting a brand new park can be daunting, especially if you are short on time. It seems as though Universal Epic Universe kept in mind that there is so much to do and so many immersive experiences at this new park that you may not have the time to spend at a sit down eatery.

🍕🍔🌭There are ample quick service options all with fantastic theming and delicious food. HOWEVER, if all that dragon slaying, werewolf chasing and spell casting has been exhausting and you just want somewhere nice to rest and indulge in a unique theme park dining experience, 💙🐉The Blue Dragon is for you. The menu is Pan Asian but in a way that really can appeal to all taste buds. It’s serene and artistic which is the perfect break from all the stimulating park must-see spots.

How important is it to you and your crew to carve out time for a sit down, table service meal in the parks? (Does that still go when visiting a brand new to you park?)

🎃🎄🦸‍♂️ Of course Disney Cruise Line has super fun themed sailings like Halloween on the High Seas, Very Merrytime Sailings as well as Pixar and Marvel Days at Sea, but if those themed sailings don’t fit in your calendar you are always guaranteed to have your own super fun themed night on many sailings. 🎉 🏴‍☠️ Pirate Night is a given on DCL Caribbean sailing so that mateys sailing anywhere from a 3 night to a week long sailing can practice their pirate voice and channel their own inner Jack Sparrow. Prefer to be a casual observer rather than bringing a peg leg and going full-on pirate? No worries because there will still be plenty of low key opportunities for you to enjoy Pirate Night. 🍽️ Expect a great dinner, a super fun deck party, and fireworks at sea to cap off the night. (No one has to walk the plank.) 👉 What is your level of pirateness? Are you going all out with the matching shirts? 😎 Playing it cool with just a bandana? Or don’t mind me, I’m just here for the jerk chicken at dinner?

🍌🥳 Universal Studios’ Minion Land had a serious glow up when this major upgrade was unveiled summer of 2023. What started as kind of a ho hum attraction became a complete land with shops, character meet and greets, eateries and now two fun Minion-themed attractions. You definitely don’t have to even like the Minions (or their bananas) to get a kick out of this fun nook of the park. Once again proving that Universal Orlando is 👉NOT👈 just for adults or older kids, there really is something for everyone. What is your favorite spot in this new updated area? For me, I could spend all day just laughing and reading all the fun stuff in the ride queue for Villain-Con Minion Blast. It’s comedy gold in there! 🤣

🇨🇦 Oh Canada, our home and native land...not really mine, but somehow I know that first part of their anthem and think the Canadian Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is vastly underrated. Sure, Mexico has the ginormous margaritas and Norway has that powerhouse sister duo, but Canada has MAPLE POPCORN!🍁🍿

I also think that Canada arguably has the best table service restaurant on property in Le Cellier. Where are my other outspoken Canada lovers?!
