A moment for the bride’s outfit’s —

Kate wore a stunning By Watters Jewel Satin ball gown with a dramatically beautiful drop waist for her wedding, switching into a playful white embellished trapeze mini dress with a paper fringe hem by Mac Duggal. The two dresses flowed perfectly into the whimsical garden celebration design inspired by nostalgic romance, outfits I will forever remember as some of the most elegant yet playful dresses I’ve seen this season.

The other day I had a friend ask me why I loved photographing weddings.

My first thought was, “because they’re fun and beautiful,” but after some thought, it was more than that — yes, the weddings I photograph are in fact fun and beautiful, but there’s more intention behind the sentiment.

Weddings aren’t just fun because the events are thoroughly planned out to every last detail, or because the DJ was good and the food was delicious; they’re fun because I get to witness couples in love have the time of their lives surrounded by people they adore. I get the opportunity to witness pure joy, unbridled excitement, and intentional moments shared between two people who are vowing their lives to one another.

It’s an honor that’s sometimes hard to describe, because there’s sentimental intention woven into every personal detail that’s carefully curated for the wedding.

And that’s what makes it beautiful.

It’s beautiful to me to be able to witness people having such a joyful experience in a world where pain and tragedy happen daily. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to put those things on hold and celebrate two people who found one another amidst the billions of people on this Earth and decide to spend the rest of their lives with one another.

That decision alone is not one to take lightly, and therefore I don’t take photographing weddings lightly.

It’s an honor beyond anything I’ve had the honor of doing in my life, and I am beyond thankful that couples choose me as the one to document their love, to preserve their core memories, and to provide them with photographs they can cherish for years to come.

It’s a true honor to do what I love, and yes — it’s always fun, and always beautiful, in more ways than one.

Immaculate organic floral designs by , unique leather tag seating chart & custom -inspired fry holders by (because when you are a major fan of McDonald’s, your wedding planner and stationer gotta surprise you with custom fry boxes and DELICIOUS fries made by the skilled chefs at Dunton), and a stunning backdrop for all of this to occur at none other than Dunton Hot Springs.

I first saw Davanta’s incredible fashion-inspired videos on TikTok last summer and absolutely loved his vibe: the way he combined patterns, textures, and colors was seriously inspiring. When I learned he lived in Denver, I just knew I had to reach out to see if he’d be interested in a fun shoot together and I’m so glad we did this session together last fall during one of my visits to Denver.
