book now and save $200 with our early bird special.

Early Bird Closes June 10, 2026

Our newest journey through the Ecuadorian Andes is officially open…and unlike anything we’ve ever offered before.

This December, we invite you into a deeply intentional retreat designed in collaboration with local wisdom keepers, herbalists, facilitators, and community partners in Ecuador.

This is not a fast-paced sightseeing trip.

It’s a carefully held experience rooted in presence, reflection, ceremony, and connection to land.

Over eight days, you’ll move through:
• The historic streets of Quito through Street Wisdom practices
• Sacred waterfalls and indigenous markets
• Herbal teachings and traditional Andean ceremonies
• A guided plant medicine experience held in a private forest lodge
• Integration through horses, nature, journaling, and time in the mountains

From volcanic landscapes to quiet fireside evenings, every part of this journey has been intentionally designed to support both outer exploration and inner reflection.

the season of s h i n i n g your light 😎

Hey there! Carisa here. 👋

I’m doing a little personal takeover of Mundanely Magical Living this month!

As we move into summer and toward the longest day of the year, we’re exploring the theme of Shining Your Light.

Over the next four weeks, I thought I’d bring you along with me a bit as I enter the final 4 weeks of preparing for my wedding in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

📖 Here’s the quick version of my situation:

I’m 39.
I’ve never been married.
I have two incredible little children (3 years and 1.5 years old) with my soon-to-be husband.
And I’ve waited a very long time for this moment.

Long enough that I think I’m entering it differently than I would have ten years ago.

So this month, I’d love for you to join me in the exploration of the Season of Shining Your Light…and as I get ready for my wedding :-) [full story: https://zurl.co/p7FGl ]

📿 how to practice
simple exercises to weave into your daily life

This week, simply notice the moments where you feel most like yourself.

Maybe it’s laughing with a friend, gardening, cooking dinner barefoot outside, or working on something you love and losing track of time.

My favorite one is just watching Brad and the kids play outside. I lounge quietly in a chair, filled with joy. I resist the urge to hop into the moment and perform and instead I sit back and just witness it with every ounce of presence. Nothing feels more real, nothing brings me more joy.

Also notice the opposite. Where do you tighten up, become overly aware of yourself?
Where do you start managing how you’re being perceived instead of simply being present?

No need to judge any of it, simply just notice. Awareness begins the process of shifting.

That’s it.
Just tiny moments of returning to yourself over and over again.

See you next week.

Much Love,
Carisa

This week on Mundanely Magical Living:

There's something so powerful about speaking things out loud.

The moment something leaves the loop of your own mind and enters shared space it holds less power.

And when one person speaks honestly, it gives others permission to do the same.

“I’m tired of carrying this.”
“I’m ready to let this go.”

Healing moves through community like a ripple effect.

This week, practice loosening your grip by sharing one thing you’re ready to release, with someone safe or even quietly with yourself.

Not everything that takes up space should be here to stay. Even the forest floor is filled with what has been released.

Yet humans grip tightly to habits that no longer support us, stories we’ve outgrown, worries that replay themselves endlessly.

Making space requires release.

First, make a tight fist.

Notice the tension, the effort.

Now slowly open your hand. Feel the difference.

Softness. Space. Relief.

Now ask yourself:

What am I gripping that I no longer need to hold so tightly?

This month on Mundanely Magical Living we are exploring The Season of Unearthing.

Sit comfortably and place your hands in front of you.

First, make a tight fist.

Notice what happens in your body when you grip tightly. The tension. The effort. The contraction.

Now slowly open your hand.
Feel the difference. Softness. Space. Relief.

What am I gripping that I no longer need to hold so tightly?

Maybe it’s a thought.
A pressure.
A responsibility.
A fear.
An expectation.

You do not need to get rid of it completely today.

Just practice loosening your grip.

Even slightly.

Spring is often associated with blooming, with new growth and planting seeds. But there's something that happens before all that.

The land has to be tilled, the old has to be pushed up and out, the hard has to soften. And this process can be a journey in and of itself.

This month on Mundanely Magical LIVING we are exploring the Season of Unearthing and we are posing a simple question:

"What needs to be unearthed in order for the next thing to grow."

These follow up questions can help:
>What has been taking up space in my days lately?
>What do I spend time doing that I don’t actually enjoy?
>What have I been ruminating on or worrying about on repeat?
>Where does my energy feel like it’s being drained?

If you simply ask the question, you are that much closer to the answer. But if you never ask the question, you'll never know.

This July, we head to Norway for an experience that is equal parts wild, grounding, and unforgettable.

A journey where you’ll hike across three countries - Norway, Sweden, and Finland - on foot, moving through some of the most remote and awe-inspiring landscapes in Scandinavia.

We wanted to pop in with a little info of what to expect and what’s all included.
What to Expect:

This is a backpacking-based adventure through remote terrain with lots of support.

We’ll begin and end in comfortable accommodations, with the middle portion of the trip spent fully immersed in the backcountry.

Here’s what that looks like on the ground:
🥾Daily hiking: Expect 6–7 miles per day over varied terrain
🎒Carrying your pack: You’ll carry your personal gear, clothing, and a portion of shared food
🕺🏻Pace: Steady and supportive, with regular breaks. We move as a group, NOT a race
🏨 Accommodations: A mix of boutique hotel stays, remote DNT huts, and unique dome-style glamping
🛁 Facilities: Hut stays are simple- outhouses, shared sleeping spaces, no showers, and limited to no WiFi or cell service
🍽️ Meals: A combination of prepared meals and simple, nourishing backcountry meals we’ll share as a group
🌤️ Weather: Expect variability - sun, wind, rain, and cooler temps, even in summer
😎 Daylight: Nearly 24 hours of light, which gives us flexibility in our hiking days and a unique rhythm to the experience

You’ll be guided every step of the way with support in preparation beforehand so you know exactly what to expect and how to pack.

What’s Included
This trip is designed so you can focus on the experience, while we handle the planning, logistics, and on-the-ground support.
▪️ 7 nights of accommodations
▪️ All meals during the trip
▪️ Experienced guides + Root trip leader
▪️ All in-country transportation
▪️ Pre-trip preparation support
▪️ Post-trip integration series

Not included:
Flights to/from Norway, personal gear, travel insurance, and any additional personal expenses.

We’re in the final stretch of filling this trip for July.

Mundanely Magical Living: This week’s message is simple: quality over quantity.

It’s easy to think community is about numbers. How many friends we have, how many people like us.

But real connection lives in presence.

One person can change everything.
One moment of genuine connection matters.

Take a second today to acknowledge what you already have even if it’s just one person… or just yourself.

That’s enough.

Mundanely Magical Mondays: JOMO

We often travel with the intention to see everything, packing our days, checking off the list.

But what if the best parts of a place aren’t the ones you can check off?

What if it’s found in slowing down… lingering a little longer… actually taking it in?

JOMO, the Joy of Missing Out, isn’t about doing less for the sake of it.
It’s about creating space to experience more of what actually matters.

Mundanely Magical Mondays: Conquering less is about being more.

Not “more” because you’re lacking or need to become something greater — but more time simply being.

The path of achievement is vertical: goals set, goals reached, and then another appears.

But when you pause and look toward the horizon (the horizontal), something different reveals itself. The horizon has no finish line.

It’s a limitless space quietly waiting… whenever we stop long enough to stand still.
