Learn About Culture & Cuisine in Taiwan's Night Markets! A must visit for any traveler in Taiwan.

Taiwanese night markets are not just a place to grab a quick snack, rather they are the embodiment of modern culture in the country. Eating and walking is nearly a national pastime in itself here. Not only is a leisurely stroll through a night market a great way to experience everyday Taiwanese life, but travelers can find some of the most delicious cuisine available right at these street stalls.

There are more than 100 night markets throughout the country and there is much debate over which are the best. We recommend walking through the Shilin Night Market or Ningxia Night Market in Taipei. A look ahead to Nepal, Korea and Japan travel. These three countries are rolling out their plans to reopen for tourism in the near future!

NEPAL
Nepal plans to open for foreign tourism on October 17! Citizens of all nations are welcome provided that those entering the country have proof of a negative covid test within 72 hours of arrival. There will be no quarantine required.

SOUTH KOREA
South Korea is currently open to all nations, but will still require a 14 day self quarantine upon arrival. It is expected that Korea will waive the quarantine restriction with proof of a negative covid test in the near future.

JAPAN
Host of the 2021 Olympic Games, Japan is announcing their reopening plans. They will first welcome travelers from 9 approved Asian nations and will continue to expand on that list in preparation for the games next year. We will keep you posted as the list grows.

Asia is a traditionally cautious continent, causing many countries to hold back on reopening until travel is clearly safe for foreigners as well as the locals they come in contact with. After a long wait, we are finally starting to see reopening plans come into the fold and cannot be more excited to travel again!
