📋 Planning is essential for any vacation to ensure you get the most enjoyment and value out of your trip. This is particularly true for a trip to Disney
✅🚫 Here are some pro tip do's and don'ts:
✅ Do Ask for Help
Whether it's your first or fifteenth trip to Disney, using a Disney Travel Specialist like me is the way to go! Helpful tips and tricks, knowledge of promos, and personal experiences make a Travel Specialist your best friend for planning!
🚫 Don't Rush
Make sure to start the planning process early! This will give you time to budget and also not miss out on any promos. It's common for people to book their Disney vacation more than a year in advance.
✅ Do Book Dining Reservations
This is a crucial step for planning table service meals and/or character dining. Guests can make dining reservations 60 days in advance. As your planning liaison, I will get up at 5 am to book these reservations on your behalf.
🚫 Don't Wing It
It's important to plan which parks you will visit on which days. This will determine where your dining reservations will be. Additionally, the parks have different hours, so planning ahead will help you maximize the fun.
✅ Do Check the Weather
Florida is well known for its heat in the summer months, but can get down right chilly other times of the year. Additionally, a short afternoon rain is almost certain to occur daily during the summer months. Packing accordingly (bring extra shoes!) will make your visit so much more enjoyable.
🚫 Don't Stay Off Property
While this really is a matter of preference, I would strongly recommend staying on property to get the full Disney experience. Disney transportation is second to none, and the experience of staying on property adds to the overall magic of your vacation. Even if you think it's outside your budget, I will look for all available promotions and help you find the absolute best option for your vacation.
✅ Do Go Beyond the Parks
Disney World is so much more than just parks! Restaurants, shopping, golfing, water parks, and beautiful scenery await you. You probably won't fit everything into one trip, so let's start planning your next!
🚫 Don't Over-Plan
While it sounds like a contradiction coming from a Travel Specialist, it's important not to plan every second of every day. Have a basic plan such as what park on which day, dining reservations, and must-do attractions, but allow yourself the freedom to just enjoy the moment. Be flexible and have your "stop and smell the roses" moments.
