I said if we talked to Yogi this week, he would determine the fishing trip winner.
Well, Cobia talked to him and we have a winner!. When we get back to Iowa I'll post the winners name name with this hunt video and how we picked the lucky person. 7 day hunt and the boy got it done the 1st night. He turned around the next day and caught his biggest walleye also. Not a bad week😂

We will be picking a winner next week for the free fishing package!. Lots of people commented on the post which is awesome. Instead of writing down 230+ names. There will be a twist to the draw. Hopefully we will be announcing everything while we are on vacation like usual. Could be from the middle of a lake....side of a mountain....or deep in the woods. A real guide trip isn't official unless you got a guy sporting a cig in the photo😉 Dave is retired from the railroad and man, did I learn alot about trains/UP today! New waters..new fish..Rain has them pinned tight in most areas but they played well.

Another rare one, but Im going to open up 1 day this wknd for a crappie trip. I will do up to 3 people on this run. This will be a Lake, Casting/trolling trip. Message me if anyone wants in. I don't do weekends often!

Whole truth and nothing but the truth...walleyes are my hate love fish for sure.
Had Dylan from Cedar Rapids with me today. He snagged the open spot today quickly and after arranging a time and place..we were off.
We fished as hard as one could possibly fish. Water was a bit dirtier then last night when I scouted but still looked doable. Well, we casted for over 5 hours without landing a single walleye. I honestly thought it was gonna be my first goose egg in many years...I decide to try one small spot on the way back, it had pretty clear water, a sand eddy and lots of bait. Wouldn't ya know it . The fish there were biting. 1 tiny BS spot out of 12 spots we fished and it saved the day😂 We probably could have burned that area up, but it had already been a long ass day in the heat. Landed a nice mess of good ones and called it a day. You just never know whats around the corner.

Quick side note. I have had quite a few people ask me this year if they can send me money to secure a walleye spot and unfortunately I can't do that. First thing, its a list..I can't skip anyone or put someone to the front of the list. I mean if you had $10K that might get ya into the top 5..but money talks😂😉 I keep it fair and not everyone can go when I roll through the list so often times spots open up or people move in the line ect.
I also don't take deposits for regular trips. You pay when we are done for the day. I haven't had any problems yet doing business this way and I hope everyone stays respectful and pays when its time.
I will though collect deposits for multiple bookings. Price depends on how many days and what species ect. If thats in your wheelhouse just let me know and we will work it out.
That being said...hunting season will be here before ya know it and i will be switching gears. I don't offer too many fall trips so get in while you can folks. Once waterfowling starts, I'm full send on hunting and only walleye fishing when the time is right.

I have tomorrow open. I'm willing to do crappies on a lake..room for 3 people. OR....I can run for walleyes in the Ghost, but will only take a solo angler. Waters are still to low for me to get the big boat on the river and to my walleye spots. So only option for river walleyes is taking my mud boat. I can do 2 people usually but ive been making some longer runs. So 1 person is preferred for tomorrow. Message me if anyone wants to book tomorrow!
