🚢 5 Days, 4 Nights on the Carnival Radiance! 🚢

And just like that…another cruise is in the books! ❤️
We just completed a 5-day, 4-night cruise out of Long Beach on the Carnival Radiance. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been on this ship, and it was nice to be back!

The Radiance is one of Carnival’s smaller ships, which makes it super easy to get around. She may not have all the bells and whistles of the newer, bigger ships, but she has plenty to keep you busy, good food options, and that fun Carnival atmosphere we love.

This trip was extra special because we took my bestie and her family with us! 🥰 It was their FIRST cruise…but definitely NOT their last! 😂🚢 I think we may have created a few new cruise addicts!

I swear, it felt like we got on the ship, blinked, and they were already telling us it was time to get off! 😭 Five days went by WAY too fast. But I guess that’s what happens when you’re having fun with people you love.

Our ports were Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. Catalina was beautiful, and of course while we were in Ensenada, we had to stop at our favorite ceviche place. 🤤🐟🍋 And once again…it DID NOT disappoint!

We seriously couldn’t have asked for better weather. It wasn’t too hot, the water wasn’t rough, and we had smooth sailing pretty much the entire trip. 🙌🏼

Another cruise, more memories, lots of laughs, good food, and quality time with some of our favorite people. ❤️

Now the question is…where are we taking these new cruisers next?! 😂🚢🌴

🚨 DID YOU KNOW, CRUISERS?! 🚨

If you have diabetes and use a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor), this is something you may want to know before your next Carnival cruise! 🩺🛳️

Carnival may provide complimentary Wi-Fi as a medical accommodation for guests who need internet access to monitor their glucose levels through their CGM.

📱 If your CGM requires an internet connection to access your glucose readings, you may be able to request free internet access for medical monitoring instead of purchasing a regular Wi-Fi package.

👉 What you'll need:
• Documentation from your doctor confirming your diabetes
• Confirmation that you use a CGM/glucose-monitoring system
• A statement explaining that internet access is medically necessary for monitoring your glucose
• Your Carnival booking and sailing information

⚠️ Important: This is a medical accommodation request and is subject to Carnival's approval. Don't assume your regular Wi-Fi package will be automatically refunded, so it's best to submit your request before your cruise.

I’ve also created a doctor verification form that you can print and take to your healthcare provider if you need one. 📝

💡 Know someone who cruises with diabetes? SHARE this post with them!

Because saving money on Wi-Fi is great… but having access to your glucose information when you need it is even more important. ❤️🛳️

Our anticipated Bermuda review is finally here! 🌸🏝️

We sailed on the beautiful Carnival Venezia out of Manhattan, and honestly, it was such an easy embarkation. We stayed at a hotel in Times Square and simply walked to the cruise port. It was about a 20-minute walk and the perfect location with so many restaurants nearby.

This itinerary included an overnight stay in Bermuda, which gave us a little extra time to explore.

We arrived Monday around 4:00 PM. Since it was already late, we decided to have dinner on the ship first and then take the ferry to Hamilton to explore the town.

The ferry costs $5 per person each way, and I highly recommend it! Sit outside if you can because the views are absolutely beautiful and worth every penny.

Now here's what we didn't know...

Our visit happened (July 30 - August 4) during Bermuda's Cup Match holiday, which celebrates Emancipation Day and Mary Prince Day. It's one of the island's biggest national holidays, so many shops and businesses close early or don't open at all. Because of that, Hamilton was much quieter than we expected, and there wasn't much open. We walked around for a bit before heading back to the ship.

The next morning, we took the shuttle bus located just outside the cruise terminal to Horseshoe Bay Beach. The shuttle was $7 per person each way and runs about every 30 minutes.

Horseshoe Bay is famous for its pink sand. At first glance, it doesn't really look pink, but once you scoop it up in your hand, you can definitely see the rosy color. It really is beautiful!

We arrived around 11:00 AM, and wow...it was packed! Two cruise ships were in port that day, so the beach was very busy.

Something else we learned is that the tide is typically strongest from late morning into the afternoon, so the waves and currents were pretty rough while we were there. If you're traveling with young kids or aren't a strong swimmer, it's definitely something to be aware of.

Here's our best tip:

Walk to the left side of the beach (if you're facing the ocean).

Keep walking past the main crowd and you'll discover several smaller coves with far fewer people. We found our own little slice of paradise and it was absolutely worth the walk!

We stayed until about 1:30 PM since our ship was departing at 3:30 PM, and trust me...after our last experience, we were NOT about to become pier runners again! 😂

If I could do this itinerary over again, I would absolutely change one thing.

I would head to the beach the first evening after we arrived. The tides are generally calmer later in the day, there are usually fewer people, and we could have spent much more time enjoying the water. Then I would save Hamilton for the next morning before sailing away.

Overall, Bermuda is absolutely stunning. The turquoise water, pink sand, and friendly island atmosphere make it a destination I'd visit again in a heartbeat. 💗

Hopefully these tips help you make the most of your visit!

Have you been to Bermuda? What was your favorite part? 🌺🌊

🚢 Let’s do a room review! 🚢

Cruisers, have you ever booked a Deluxe Ocean View room? If you haven’t, I highly recommend giving it a try!

For those who know us, you know we are usually interior room people. Why? Because I love to sleep in complete darkness. 😂 Even the tiniest bit of light sneaking into the room can wake me up!

But this cruise, we decided to switch things up and booked a Deluxe Ocean View, and I have to say… we love it!

We’ve stayed in this type of room before, and one of our favorite features is the two bathroom setup. That’s right… TWO bathrooms! 🙌

You get a traditional bathroom with a stand-up shower, plus a second bathroom with a tub/shower combo. No more waiting for your partner to finish getting ready—you can both shower at the same time! (The second bathroom does not have a toilet, but honestly, it’s still a huge bonus.)

The room has plenty of space for the two of us, and we love having the extra room to spread out. Sometimes it’s the little upgrades that make a big difference!

Would we book this room again? Absolutely! 🚢✨

🚢⏳ TWO DAYS!! The countdown is officially on! In just 2 days we'll be sailing to Bermuda aboard the Carnival Venezia—one of our favorite ships! ❤️⚓

Even better? We'll get to enjoy an overnight stay in Bermuda, so we'll have extra time to explore this beautiful island. Since it's our first visit, we need your help!

If you've been to Bermuda, tell us:
🏖️ Which beach is a must?
🍹 Where's the best place for a Rum Swizzle?
🍽️ What local food can't we miss?
📸 What are the best photo spots?
🤫 Any hidden gems or tips for first-timers?

Help us avoid getting back on the ship saying, "I wish we'd known about that!" 😂

We can't wait to sail on the Venezia again and finally experience Bermuda! 🇧🇲🌴⚓ Drop your best recommendations in the comments!

Another cruise in the books! ❤️🚢

As many of you know, this cruise was extra special because we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary surrounded by our amazing friends and family. Even more special, it was my parents' and sister's very first cruise!

We sailed on the Carnival Jubilee with stops in Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Honduras. The weather was HOT...and the humidity was no joke! 🥵 But that didn't stop us from having an incredible time.

We've sailed on the Jubilee several times, but experiencing it through my parents' and sister's eyes made it feel brand new again. Watching them discover everything the ship has to offer reminded us why we fell in love with cruising in the first place. Now they finally understand why we're always booking another cruise...and they're already talking about their next one! Mission accomplished! 😂

One surprise from this trip was discovering our new favorite bar—Dr. Inks. The cocktails were creative, unique, and absolutely delicious. It will definitely be a must-visit on future cruises.

In Cozumel, we introduced them to our favorite Asian restaurant just outside the port, and it did not disappoint.

In Costa Maya, we grabbed a taxi to Mahahual Beach where we enjoyed fresh seafood, crystal-clear water, and hands down one of the best beach massages we've ever had. If you visit Costa Maya, I highly recommend making the trip! A special shout-out to our amazing server, W***y, who took such great care of us. We definitely ordered way too much food...but not a single regret! 😄

Our final stop was Honduras, where we spent the day relaxing at the beach. The newly completed pool is a wonderful addition and made for a perfect beach day.

Seven days flew by way too fast, but we made memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing my parents fall in love with cruising was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Hearing them already plan their next cruise made my heart so happy.

Until the next adventure...⚓❤️

🚢❤️ COUNTDOWN MODE ACTIVATED ❤️🚢

Counting down the days until we board our cruise celebrating a QUARTER OF A CENTURY with my soulmate, best friend, and cruising partner for life! 🥰⚓️

We are beyond excited to be sharing this amazing journey with our friends and family aboard the beautiful Carnival Jubilee out of Galveston! 🚢☀️🍹

This trip is extra special because it will be my parents’ and sister’s VERY FIRST cruise ever… which means I already know exactly how this is going to go… 😂

🤢 My mom is probably going to get seasick before we even leave the port
🎰 Both my parents will somehow disappear and end up stuck at the casino for hours
🏃🏻‍♀️ My sister is going to want to try EVERYTHING on the ship like she’s competing in the Cruise Olympics.

Meanwhile, I’ll be over here giggling on the inside like a kid going to Disney because I seriously cannot help myself! 🤭💃

T-shirts are made and READY TO GO… because apparently matching cruise shirts make us officially organized now 😂👕⚓️

Bring on the ocean views, unlimited food, tropical drinks, late-night pizza, family memories, and all the fun chaos that comes with cruising together while celebrating 25 amazing years of marriage! ❤️⚓️

Anyone else going on the Carnival Jubilee cruise leaving June 27? 🚢👀

🚢🔐 PSA FOR MY FELLOW CRUISERS 🔐🚢

Before anyone starts packing aluminum foil hats and blaming the Wi-Fi on the ship… this is NOT related to the February 9 incident when we were on the Carnival Mardi Gras 😂

Carnival Cruise Line recently confirmed a data breach involving customer information. Some guest data that may have been exposed included:

names
addresses
phone numbers
passport details
dates of birth
and possibly travel/booking information

Carnival stated there’s currently no evidence of misuse for most guests, but they are notifying affected customers and recommending people monitor accounts and personal information carefully.

So no… this does NOT mean pirates hacked the ship and stole the buffet schedule. 🏴‍☠️🍕

And no… your VIFP points are probably not being sold on the dark web for a free Guy’s Burger. 🍔😂

A few smart things to do anytime a company announces a breach:
✅ Watch your email for official notifications
✅ Monitor credit cards and accounts
✅ Be cautious of scam calls/emails pretending to be Carnival
✅ Never click suspicious links

And remember… if someone emails you saying:
“Congratulations, click here to claim your FREE balcony upgrade and unlimited lobster” … maybe don’t 😂

Cruise on, but keep those passwords stronger than the ship’s coffee ☕🚢
