My birthday trip to Rwanda + Kenya next year, a client’s first safari...each designed around the traveler and the occasion.

No two safaris I plan look the same — and that’s exactly the point.

Theirs starts in the South African bush and ends with wine in Cape Town.

Mine moves from a mountain gorilla trek in Rwanda through three of Kenya’s most distinct landscapes. Same continent, completely different journeys.

If you’ve been thinking about Africa, save this reel for when you’re ready to start planning.

Ready now? Drop “safari” in the comments and I’ll get in touch to schedule a call!

The best hotel for your trip isn’t the one with the best reviews. It’s the one that matches your energy.

As a luxury travel advisor, knowing the difference is something I’ve spent years learning how to see.

A pool full of influencers might be someone’s dream and someone else’s nightmare. A quiet breakfast buffet is perfect for one client and boring for another. A honeymoon hotel is romantic until you show up with your teenagers.

This is the nuance that doesn’t live on a booking site. It lives in the hours I’ve spent walking properties, watching how guests move through a space, noticing what a hotel is actually designed to feel like and for who.

When we work together, I’m not just comparing hotels. I’m matching you to one so that the moment you walk in, it feels right.

Comment “hotel” if you have a hotel or resort booking on the horizon you want support with. ✈️

Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷

Tree-lined streets. The smell of coffee and fresh-baked pastries. Long dinners over tender steaks and Malbec.

From relaxed mornings at the park to exploring the city streets and the surrounding countryside, Buenos Aires is a city that captures visitors in different ways. Art lover? Passion for food? Cheering with locals at a sports match?

I love seeing how a city like this becomes something different to each person who visits.

The reality of luxury boutique hotel booking during peak season in sunny winter destinations? Properties sell out fast.

Which means a spontaneous February Caribbean getaway might mean higher prices. Less desirable rooms.

Every winter I have clients reach out to book these kind of warm weather getaways...and recently I had to tell two different families that there just wasn’t availability.

Save yourself the disappointment by getting your midwinter trip on the calendar and booked now — with flexible cancellation ‘just in case.’

Some properties I booked for clients for Feb/March 2027: Grand Velas Boutique in Los Cabos. Palmaia in Cancun. Sugar Beach Viceroy in St. Lucia.

Which would you get on the calendar for your own getaway? 👀

There are two questions I ask every client before planning their 2028 LA Olympics trip:

Which events do you most want to see?
And how much of the planning do you want to hand off?

The answers shape everything.

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympics are two years out — and tickets, hotels, and hospitality packages are already being booked. Over 5 million people signed up for the ticket waitlist alone. If you’re planning to attend, now is the time to start.

If you’re planning it yourself: tickets start around $250 per person per event and range into the thousands for high-demand sports. Luxury hotels in LA are already booking out. The longer you wait, the fewer options you’ll have.

If you want the stress taken off your plate and an elevated experience: a full hospitality package through Undiscovered Sunsets — flights, tickets, luxury hotel, private transfers, dinner reservations — typically starts around $10,000–$12,000 per person for a 3-night experience. No logistics, no waitlists, no scrambling.

Whether you want to plan your Olympics 2028 trip yourself or hand it all off, this is the moment to get this trip on the books.

Have you dreamed of attending the Olympics in person? Just comment “Olympics” and I’ll get in touch to make that dream a reality 😍

Seeing the Olympics live is the kind of trip you talk about for the rest of your life.

And the hotel you stay in shouldn’t be an afterthought. It can be an integral part of the experience, because ⬇️

After a long day at the events, it makes a difference to return to a hotel where the staff already knows who you are and has genuinely anticipated what you need.

I’m already booking hotels for my clients attending the LA Olympics in 2028. The Four Seasons, The Conrad, Fairmont Century Plaza... each promising a luxurious end to each day.

The best part? You pay the same rate as booking direct but also get on-property credits, complimentary breakfast, and potential room upgrades already waiting for you. That’s the value of letting a travel advisor confirm your hotel bookings.

Which of these three hotels would you add to your Olympics experience?

Sometimes planning travel can feel like playing tetris.

You’re looking at flights, hotels, car rentals…then something changes and you go back with updates, only to see the price has raised or there’s no more availability.

Recently planning an African safari and gorilla trekking adventure for my clients is a perfect example of how one small detail can derail an entire itinerary.

The lodge they wanted for gorilla trekking had availability…but I realized that there were no permits left for the actual trekking experience.

So I had to flip around the entire sequence of their trip, find a new (albeit, better!) lodge, and secure those permits.

When I presented the proposal to my clients, all they saw was a trip that flowed, had a better lodge than expected, and shorter flight paths than the original plan offered.

What they didn’t experience? The logistical puzzle of planning it all. That’s where a travel professional like me comes in.

I take these big planning challenges and small details off your plate to ensure you are going on the trip you dreamed of.

If that isn’t true luxury, I don’t know what is.

Most travelers, when booking a luxury hotel or resort, head straight to the hotel’s website.

But you’re potentially missing out on upgrades and amenities that a travel advisor can unlock for you at the same price as booking direct.

At many 5-star hotels and resorts, booking through a travel advisor can include:

✨ daily breakfast
✨ on-property credits (for spa, restaurant)
✨ priority for upgrades, early check-in, or late checkout when available

And a travel advisor who serves as your dedicated point of contact if something if your travel plans change or face disruptions.

A common misconception is that booking through a travel advisor costs more. But in reality, we typically quote the same rate you see on the hotel’s website.

So instead of paying more, you’re adding value.

It’s the difference between “reservation confirmed” and:

“You’ve been upgraded” and
“How should we spend our credit?” and
“I’ve already called the hotel to let them know your flight is delayed.”

Book your next hotel with my team at Undiscovered Sunsets to elevate your stay.

Are you making this common mis-assumption about the cost of safari?

Many travelers assume that safari is a once-in-a-lifetime trip because they see big nightly rates and don’t realize what’s actually included – or that the price is comparable to a luxury European trip.

The AVERAGE nightly rate for a luxury safari is $1,000 per person. This investment includes your lodge, meals, drinks, daily game drives, guides, and transfers.

In comparison, a night in Paris or Rome at a five-star hotel is around the same price point, and that doesn’t even include meals, airport transfers, or activities.

What often throws people off is when a safari is quoted, it feels like a big number.
$10,000 for ten nights. But when you break down how much you’d spend on a ten-day European itinerary, you quickly realize that safari isn’t more expensive.

It’s simply more all-inclusive.

I’m sharing more safari-planning insights in a 3-part email series. Get on the list at the link in my bio for more intuitive travel planning.
