🇵🇹Days 5 & 6 of our Spain & Portugal Tour — What a Journey!
We’ve wrapped up two unforgettable days in captivating Lisbon, where history, charm, and flavor came together in the most beautiful way.
Our adventure began in the heart of the city, wandering through the storied streets of the Alfama Quarter, Lisbon’s oldest neighborhood known for its narrow alleys, traditional Fado music, and Moorish influence. From there, we explored the elegant Baixa-Chiado district—Lisbon’s bustling downtown area, where grand plazas and boutique-lined streets blend old-world charm with modern flair.
A highlight of our cultural exploration was a visit to the National Tile Museum, where we marveled at centuries of Portuguese azulejos—the intricate ceramic tiles that tell stories of the country’s rich artistic heritage.
To end our time in Lisbon on a truly special note, we dined at Club de Fado, enjoying a soulful live Fado performance while savoring authentic Portuguese cuisine. 🎶
Today, we stepped into a fairytale at Pena Palace and Park in Sintra—one of Portugal’s most iconic landmarks, known for its colorful Romanticist architecture and lush, scenic surroundings. And what better way to wrap up the day than by getting hands-on in a Pastel de Nata workshop, where we learned how to make Portugal’s beloved custard tarts from scratch (and of course, taste-tested the results!)🧑🍳
