💐 Yesterday we visited a very charming street called Canyon Road. Only one and a half mile long, Canyon Road has over 100 art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. It's a street for the arts!!! 🖼️
We had the pleasure to meet Gregory Horndeski, a physicist and mathematician, known mainly for the formulation of Horndeski's theory of gravitation, who became an artist 🖌️and has been living in Santa Fe for 26 years. Horndeski's art is fun and it has a lot of physics clues in them, including a lecture on his own theory of gravitation!

Tuesday night out in Santa Fe ⛅
With the temperature cooling this week and thunderstorm in the weather forecast for every night after Wednesday, we decided to check out the beautiful La Fonda hotel on Tuesday and watch the sunset at their rooftop bar while still nice and dry out here 🏜️

While browsing the art galleries near Santa Fe plaza yesterday, we came across a bookstore called Allá.
Jim, the 84 year old men in the picture next to Marco, has owned this bookstore for 44 years.
Jim and his wife Barbara lived in Brazil many years ago while she worked on her PhD thesis about the colonialismo in the Amazon region. They know a great deal about Brazilian history and speak very good Portuguese!
I was impressed by the amount of Brazilian literature he sells in his bookstore. I don't recall ever being in a bookstore in the US that sells Brazilian books 🤔
I also found it fascinating that he loves cordel literature and not only sells them but has a small statue of the most famous cordel literature writer.
We could have spent the whole night talking with Jim and listening about their experiences in Brazil, but he had to kick us out, as the bookstore had closed at 5pm and it was already 7pm when we left 😝
We'll have to go back there another day!!!

Roaming Duo is on the road again... But for two weeks only 😝
We're finally visiting Santa Fe NM!!! This pretty town has been on my radar ever since we moved to the US 17 years ago. But since it's high altitude and winter is cold around here, we wanted to visit Santa Fe during the Summer to enjoy the outdoors a bit more. So it took us a few years to make this trip happen the way we really wanted it.
So here we are!!!
I'll be sharing here some of the nice spots in Santa Fe as we explore it by car, bicycle and on foot!

Bowling Green will pretty much be our backyard for the next few weeks. We already found a great coffee shop, and it's very much Portland like! Mediterranean food is my favorite, and the town has a great newly opened restaurant whose owner just moved from CA for the business! I totally relate!

10 months later and RoamingDuo is back on the road!

We got to Kentucky a couple of hours ago and just found our first dry county! Urghhhhhhhh!
Had to give up my 6pack of Rose Hard Cider at the register as they don't sell alcoholic beverages on Sundays!

We have arrived in our newest destination! And on our way here I finished a video I've been meaning to do for 6 months now, and it's now ready for your entertainment (or maybe just mine!).
